As Matsuda's Contemporary, Do I Still Have a Chance to Live?

◆ It’s been completed for ages, but the unclear viewpoint options disappeared, and after I changed the story’s series, it got sorted into the mutual-attacking category… Just wanted to explain. ◇ I’ve arranged with the editor to go premium on 08/26. Three chapters will be posted, so please support the story! ◇ Blurb (updated daily at 6 p.m.): Kurisu Ryusei, male, 22, is facing a major crisis: he’s just recovered his memories of his past life and realized he was a contemporary of the Police Academy group. He’s downstairs. One of his classmates is beside him, and another is upstairs. Here’s the problem: 1. He only remembers the main characters’ real identities and the death dates and causes of a few individual characters. 2. The classmate upstairs is about to die in the line of duty. 3. The classmate upstairs and the one beside him are childhood friends. 4. The one beside him is the person he likes. Question: What should he do? Who’s the culprit?! #How do I keep my classmates safe# #Or should I save myself first# #No accepting 5-4=0# By the way, this world really does run on Conan logic… ◇ [Reader advisory] 1. Written in third person throughout. A rescue story, pairing as above. 2. OOC warning, though I’ll try to keep everyone in character. 3. Let’s part on good terms. Please don’t mention other story titles in the comments. 4. Thanks to Random Name Generator for helping me name the protagonist. 5. A cat wrote this story. 6. I’ll add more if I think of anything. For now, that’s it. Screenshot taken 2022/03/22. Minor revisions 07/26. Started posting 07/30. ◆ Next story: “Can Five Rebirths Give Me a Conan-Style Happy Ending?” Uda Haruo has a secret: he has five chances to keep living. Even if he dies, he can come back to life under another identity. But the timeline cannot be changed, so he can never repeat the same life. That means he has only one chance. Time can overlap, but life cannot be brought back. He has died five times. This is his last rebirth. A rising star in the police force, an undercover Public Security agent, the organization’s loyal dog, an information broker… He has lived many lives, but there are some qualities he can never change “Can’t be helped. You don’t come across kindness like that every day.” “His eyes are clear and unwavering… It may not be scientific, but I know I’m not mistaken.” “No one else will ever believe in me so completely.” As time passed, his old friends recognized him again and again. Uda Haruo: Damn it, doesn’t this make it even harder to let you all go?! Theme: May evil always be punished, and may every kind person find happiness.
