[Please add The Boyfriend Is Seriously Ill to your reading list! The blurb is at the very bottom~]
[There are other completed stories in my collection. Feel free to check them out~]
Shen family heir Shen Du was arrogant and unruly, a born rebel. He didn't mess around with women, but he was up for anything else: racing, surfing, bungee jumping, boxing... The more thrilling, the better. His friends said he was born at the top of the pyramid, free to enjoy life as he pleased, and wondered what woman would eventually bring him to his knees.
Shen Du scoffed at the idea. Women were nothing. All they did was cry and fuss. He'd rather stay single for the rest of his life than ever admit defeat.
Then one day, he drove past a milk tea shop. The spring sunshine was lovely, and a young woman with bright, clear eyes smiled. In that moment, she stole his soul.
For the first time in his life, the young master Shen wondered how to strike up a conversation. Before he could think of something, a boy in white appeared in his view, affectionately ruffled her hair, and picked up her bag.
The news that Shen Du was getting married shocked everyone, especially since he had stolen his bride from another man.
The young woman wore a pristine white wedding dress, not a trace of a smile on her face.
"It's fine if you don't want to smile. You look much prettier when you cry." Shen Du hooked a finger beneath her chin, his long fingertips brushing her red lips as he spoke with suggestive meaning. "Let's see tonight."
The following is the blurb for this story.
[The childhood friend beats the newcomer. The male lead is the childhood friend, so please don't pick the wrong side.]
[The writing at the beginning is a little immature. Please bear with me.]
Gu Nianwei and Lu Tingchuan were both born into wealthy families. They grew up together and were very close, so plenty of people assumed they would end up together.
No one expected that on Gu Nianwei's twentieth birthday, she would bring home a man and even announce that he was her boyfriend. Lu Tingchuan smiled and congratulated her, but as soon as he turned away, he tossed the gift he'd prepared in advance straight into the trash.
Later, a friend asked Lu Tingchuan what he thought about it.
His smile never changed. He swirled the wine in his glass and replied with a carefree gentleness, "They aren't married yet, are they?"
His friend pressed him. "And if they get married?"
Lu Tingchuan paused for a moment. A moment later, his eyes were deep as a frozen pool. Then he slowly smiled. "Can't they get divorced?"
-
To Gu Nianwei, Lu Tingchuan was a caring older brother. She had never thought of him that way, and she knew he was against marriage. They had no chance of being together.
Then, one day, she met a young man playing guitar in a snow-filled plaza. One glance, and she was in love for a lifetime.
Later, she fell in love with the young man she liked. She thought they would stay together until the end of their lives, but a twist of fate led her, after all their twists and turns, to marry Lu Tingchuan.
-
After they married, Gu Nianwei always thought Lu Tingchuan had been forced into it, too.
Until one day, she overheard his friend ask, "Are you really against marriage? Then why did you marry Gu Nianwei?"
Lu Tingchuan smiled nonchalantly. "She's the only one who could make me willing to walk down the aisle."
Notes:
1. Both leads are each other's first and only. The heroine dated the second male lead earlier in the story, and it was true love.
2. The male lead has no exes and is a model of chastity, but he isn't a good person in the conventional sense. He'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants.
3. A possessive romance.
Theme: After all the twists and turns, perhaps the person you end up with is the one who was there from the start.
I like this ending hahaha. It's hard to say whether the heroine loves the hero or not, but she must have truly loved each other.
To be honest, I am very interested in this writing. After all, it is set up that the heroine has a true love for the male lead, which attracted me among other similar type of writing. But your description makes me feel like I'm back in junior high school. How can this heroine be so young, white, rich, beautiful, warm and cheerful, assisting her best friend, and being a dark childhood sweetheart? I decided to read a few more chapters to see what happens next.
If they are a couple... You can refuse even if you don't want to. The male lead is too strong.
Xiang Xingjue is so uncontested and indifferent, I miss the cruel words he said when he just agreed to be with the heroine haha (you must have the awareness to be a male mistress)
This setting is really touching. It's so rare in stories nowadays. Most of them require the heroine to be devoted to the hero both physically and mentally. But it's still more touching to have true love like this. I hope there can be more stories like this, so that the heroine can love other people.
What I understand about anti-marriage is not to get married. Why is it written in this article to be like a robot that can't move emotions... And Xingjue is so pitiful that I burst into tears.
Congratulations on the completion, spread the flowers~ Ps: Hey, Xiang Xingjue's ending is really too sad.
Thanks for the limited exemption, I would rather cry that Xiang Xingjue is a villain
To be honest, I'm not saying that the starry feeling is not good, it's just that there is someone as outstanding as Lu Tingchuan who treats her so well and is not related to her by blood. How did Weiwei stay indifferent for so many years?
Meeting the right person at the wrong time is ultimately a pity, but there is no regret if you have loved one.
