The Movie Star and His Assistant

Li Xing was a fine young man from the 1980s. Who could have guessed that one little bump on the head would transmigrate him into the body of a 2022 man with the same name?

When he first arrived in the modern era, he didn't know how to do a thing. But thanks to his formidable talent for roasting people, he could earn enough to eat by helping netizens insult cheating men and complain about mistresses.

But that income was unreliable. Just as he was at his wit's end, he suddenly received an interview invitation from an online hype company. Without a second thought, he eagerly went along.

Lin Yu, the entertainment industry's newest Best Actor, was immediately put on a pedestal for his striking looks. Then one day, a rumor came out of nowhere that he had abused his girlfriend. His career crashed, and even his company's clarification did no good. He became a target of ridicule across the internet.

People flocked to his Weibo every day to insult him. His agent, Sister Li, worried he'd fall into depression, so she hired a little assistant to accompany him on a trip.

Li Xing had applied for an online hype job, but he never imagined he'd be following a celebrity around on sightseeing trips every day.

As a worker with principles, Li Xing showed up on time every day to help Lin Yu clap back at his haters. He'd fight them day and night, no matter the cost!

Lin Yu: He stood up for me without being asked. He really is my fan!

Netizens: How dare you take this dirty money? Aren't you afraid it'll bring bad karma to your parents?

Li Xing: I don't want to do this either, but he's paying way too much. Sorry, everyone. Today I'll show you what it means to value money more than your own parents.

Netizens: Guys, run for it! That bastard's activated his buff today!

Then one day, Li Xing realized: Wait, how am I working two jobs but only getting paid for one?

Lin Yu: Can't be helped. The company ran out of money, so I had to offer myself as payment!
