The Flirtatious Beauty Decides to Steal the Princess

Saving each other / unhinged, seductive beauty top / innocent bunny versus sly fox

[The blurb for my upcoming story, A Bewitching Beauty Fell from the Sky, is at the end. Zhaozhao is begging you to add it to your collection!]

Wen Ying is an unloved princess. Her birth mother died young, she lives in a remote, deserted palace, and she has to eat moldy steamed buns.

Even her clothes are things the palace maids have thrown away. She clumsily patches them up herself and wears them.

She's spent fifteen years with nowhere decent to live, nothing warm to wear, and barely enough to fill her stomach.

Then a hostage arrives at the palace. Wen Ying's country is on the brink of collapse, yet it must bow its head and submit to its enemy.

Wen Ying secretly climbs the wall for a look, only to discover that the hostage is an exceedingly beautiful woman. At the time, Wen Ying is not only stunned by her beauty, but also hangs pitifully from the wall, pointing at some pastries and asking, "Sister, could you give me a bite?"

That day, the beauty collapses in the courtyard of Wen Ying's cold palace. When she cries from the pain, Wen Ying is terrified.

She brings out a persimmon cake she'd hidden away and couldn't bear to eat, then pokes the beauty's cheek. "Sister, I'll share half with you. Please stop crying..."

The beauty raises a hand to wipe the bloody mark at the corner of her mouth, left by a beating, takes the persimmon cake, and flees in a panic.

Wen Ying breathes a sigh of relief. Who would have thought the beauty would come every day afterward, bearing fresh and old bruises and all kinds of pastries to share with her?

Wen Ying is overjoyed, until the night the beauty kisses her fingertip and she realizes something is wrong.

"I... I'll pay you back for the pastries when I have money!" Wen Ying thinks she's about to be sold. Tears glisten in her eyes as she looks utterly pitiful.

But the beauty won't let it go. She wraps her arms around little Wen Ying's waist, both entranced and restrained, and licks the tears from Wen Ying's cheek. Her voice is hoarse as she says, "Your Highness's tears are payment enough."

On the eve of her country's fall, Fu Qingyin is handed over to the enemy by her mother, the queen. She doesn't know what awaits her, and is so humiliated that she nearly takes her own life.

But when a head pops up over the wall, she finds herself with a little more hope of staying alive.

Fu Qingyin doesn't dare get close. She believes Wen Ying is the daughter of her enemy.

But one day, little Wen Ying tugs at her with tearful eyes, holding out a persimmon cake. "You're the only one who's ever been kind to Wenwen. I'll share my persimmon cake with you. Please get better soon..."

Only then does Fu Qingyin realize the little one has been mistreated for years, and shares no father-daughter bond with her enemy at all.

So she lies low and bides her time. From an outcast whom everyone despises, she steadily rises to become empress. Her heart has long since been darkened by the ways of the world, and little Wen Ying is the only thing left pure within it.

On the night of her coronation, Fu Qingyin holds Wen Ying in her arms and confesses her love. She expects the little one to be frightened, but instead, she feels warmth against her lips.

Wen Ying secretly kisses her.

Reader's Guide:

VB: Xiao Zhu Zhao

① Both characters are adults, with a six-year age gap. The author's note in Chapter One has a detailed reader's guide.

② It's an ancient-style setting, but not historically authentic. A healing, sweet little romance, in a completely fictional world!! I mean it: completely fictional. Please don't nitpick the historical details or offer writing advice.

③ The whole story is already written. Updates will be daily from launch, at the pace of the site's schedule before it goes premium, then three chapters a day. This story has a happy ending, trust me!

④ Expected length: 100,000 words. I have a thing about round numbers, so it should be exact. If that changes, I'll explain in the author's notes.

⑤ Please click "Follow Author" in my profile. It means a lot to Zhaozhao. Pretty please!

Upcoming story:

This is a story about someone who transmigrates and makes a living by farming, cooking, and selling medicinal herbs. One day, she finds a fallen noblewoman at the entrance to her village. The two of them share sweet everyday moments and eventually get a happy ending.

#How should you live a farming life? Qiao Qingyue's answer: Hold your wife close and live it together!#

After transmigrating, Qiao Qingyue thinks she'll have to fight her half-sister for status and endure the cruelty of the inner household. But when she sees the beautiful fields in front of her, she falls silent.

"Working people are the greatest!" Qiao Qingyue has high ideals and no interest in men. She picks up a hoe and begins cultivating her own life, determined to get rich through farming.

But one day, everyone in the village gathers to watch a commotion, so she joins them, and falls in love at first sight.

A fallen noblewoman? What else could it be but fate bringing them together? Qiao Qingyue seizes her chance, carries the woman home, and plans to take things slowly.

The noblewoman is as beautiful as a flower and adorably clumsy. Qiao Qingyue is smitten at first glance. The noblewoman, who can't lift a thing or do hard work, still wants to contribute to their household. Their days are chaotic, heartwarming, and healing.

The noblewoman clumsily learns farmwork, while Qiao Qingyue clumsily tries to cheer her up. Mutual devotion doesn't have to reveal itself in times of great upheaval. Even seemingly calm, ordinary days can hold sweet moments.
