After the Strange Revival, I Went Looking for Myself

When the uncanny first began to revive, 19-year-old Qi Qingyuan witnessed something truly strange.

He encountered another version of himself, with a terrifying presence. This one was older and more mature, but his eyes were savage and unhinged, like a tightly drawn wire about to snap at any moment.

Standing in the rain, 24-year-old Qi Qingyuan looked at his younger self, just as he had recalled him countless times while struggling against death: lawless and fearless, reckless yet green, like a blade turned toward the morning sun.

The 24-year-old Qi Qingyuan held his still somewhat slender younger self tightly.

The 19-year-old Qi Qingyuan gently patted his trembling back.

They came to a mutual understanding: he needed him.
