When a Righteous Spy Becomes the Demon Queen

Su Jinzhao is a member of an orthodox immortal sect. To eliminate evil and defend the righteous, he became a spy after the gathering of the Eight Great Immortal Sects and was sent into the demonic realm. His mission was a difficult one: he had to completely blend in with the demons, rise through their ranks, and ideally get close to the Demon Lord, so he could pass firsthand intelligence back to the immortal sect. Su Jinzhao carefully maintained his disguise, working his way up from a lowly soldier in the Demon Palace to a junior captain of the guard. Three months after he entered the demonic realm as a spy, the Demon Lord, whom he had never met, suddenly summoned him. Su Jinzhao had prepared for every eventuality. He had hidden a deadly poison behind his teeth and a sharp magical weapon in his sleeve. If the Demon Lord exposed him, he would fight to the death, then kill himself, never revealing a single secret of the immortal sect. When he opened the door, the Demon Lord, feared by all immortals, was sitting in a bathtub, water trickling around him. He leaned back lazily and looked at Su Jinzhao. "Hey, I hear you're great at scrubbing backs. Come give mine a try." Then he paused to think. "If you do a bad job, I'll..." Su Jinzhao's hair stood on end. He was on maximum alert. The man thought long and hard. "I'll demote you from captain back to a foot soldier and make you work without pay." Su Jinzhao: "..." * Su Jinzhao diligently served at the Demon Lord's side. The immortal sect hoped he would rise to a position close to the Demon Lord within three years. It took Su Jinzhao just three months to become the Demon Lord's personal guard. But he felt there was something strange about the Demon Lord. The Demon Lord handed him a map and circled a huge area with a cinnabar-red pen. "Give this to the Left Guardian and tell him to turn this area into a commercial district. Move everyone else out and offer them compensation for the demolition." Su Jinzhao: "?" The Demon Lord took him on an inspection. "What is this place, a den of gambling and prostitution? This is completely uncivilized and illegal! Arrest them! Give them ten years in prison!" Su Jinzhao: "?" The Demon Lord took him to bed. "You're my personal guard. Personal, do you understand what that means?" Su Jinzhao: "..." His fists were clenched tight. The mission, the mission! The spy mission comes first! #If the immortal sect doesn't come get me soon, I'm going to become the Demon Lord's wife# #Who told you the demonic realm worked like this!# Theme: Love and peace
