Zhoucheng No. 1 High School had a notorious playboy, wild and untamable. In all three years of high school, he had only shared a desk with someone once, and only briefly.
Cheng Suzui was a wolf in sheep's clothing. After three months as Jiang Xinlie's desk mate, she had thoroughly offended him.
Jiang Xinlie flipped their desk over in class and moved his seat to the back of the classroom, while Cheng Suzui calmly carried on taking notes.
Just when everyone thought they had become enemies, someone secretly saw Jiang Xinlie ruffle Cheng Suzui's hair in the teachers' office.
The rumors immediately changed direction.
Another rumor quietly started spreading among the students: some said Jiang Xinlie wanted to carry on a secret affair with Cheng Suzui, and that his outburst in class had been because Cheng Suzui turned him down.
Who knew that afterward they would never be close again? The rumor disproved itself, and people began wondering how anyone could ever tame Jiang Xinlie.
But later, Cheng Suzui often thought the rumor must have had things backward.

In her senior year of college, Cheng Suzui was talked into staging a fake accident by her roommate, Shang Ling.
Shang Ling said someone had bullied her, but the person was too powerful for her to confront. She begged Cheng Suzui to teach him a lesson.
Cheng Suzui asked how she was supposed to do that, and Shang Ling poured out her whole plan. Cheng Suzui frowned, unwilling to agree to something so utterly shameless, but at the sight of Shang Ling's pitiful expression, she immediately softened and agreed.
When she deliberately fell in front of that expensive Lykan, she suddenly regretted it.
The owner leaned over the steering wheel, looking through the window at Cheng Suzui lying motionless on the ground. He chuckled, then opened the car door and walked over to her.
'Cheng Suzui, after all these years, you still like staging fake accidents.'
Hearing that familiar voice, Cheng Suzui closed her eyes in despair.
