Synopsis:

Before transmigrating, she was already a willful, arrogant troublemaker. Taking on the villain role was a piece of cake. But Shen Qing hadn't expected the original novel's male lead to be a natural slacker with no interest in cultivation, who only wanted to lie flat.

Shen Qing has no choice but to pretend to be a pure, innocent white lotus, deliberately approaching and tempting him.

Xie Zheyu falls in love with her at first sight.

He braves the winter wind and snow at dawn to buy her favorite rouge, crosses half the city under the blazing summer sun to bring her a bowl of chilled plum soup, and gives her countless tender love poems.

They spend three sweet, passionate years of marriage together. Just as Xie Zheyu's love deepens and he becomes utterly lost in it, Shen Qing fakes her death and disappears, using his hatred to stoke his desire to grow stronger.

Everything goes according to plan. Xie Zheyu joins Shen Qing's sect and grows stronger by the day... but somehow, things seem to be getting off track.

Xie Zheyu has changed.

His once-languid, smiling phoenix eyes are now icy and severe, pale and gloomy, his features imbued with a dark, vicious coldness. He no longer ties Shen Qing's hair or holds an umbrella for her. His hands, once as graceful as bamboo and orchids, making her sweet pastries, have learned to wield a sword and kill.

When his deep, black eyes turn to her, they hold no warmth. He only says coldly, "Master."
