Please note:
[This novel was written as a Mary Sue writing exercise ten years ago. It has many flaws, so read with caution.]
[Novel Blurb]
Gu Lianyi, an upstanding young woman of the twenty-first century (more or less), wakes up after a night of drinking and discovers she has arrived in the 1980s.
Princess Gu tries hard to figure out how to get rich, but comes up empty. Then she sees her cheap husband, Rong Qing, and finally spots a glimmer of hope. She'd be a fool not to cling to a ready-made lifeline, right? (Are you sure?)
A time-traveler and a local big shot meet: one is as brazen as can be, the other as aloof as a mountain peak.
Gu Lianyi clutches her quilt and sobs, "Rong Qing, you're so mean! A girl as sweet and soft as me is right here, and you can just sleep under the covers without touching me!"
Rong Qing gives the person with the terrible acting a cool glance and replies coldly, "Oh."
Question: How do you tame a cool, aloof, secretly flirtatious lifeline?
Answer: Put up with him, indulge him, tempt him, flirt with him, and give it a few years. Just wait and see.
Much later, Gu Lianyi is sprawled on the sofa in a carefree lounging pose, having a grand old time, when someone pulls her into his arms and kisses her.
"What are you doing?"
He answers with a perfectly straight face, "You flirted with me first."
Gu Lianyi is utterly dumbfounded. I was just lying here watching TV?
Reading Guide: Cool, secretly flirtatious male lead x sweet, naive female lead. The setting is fictional, so please don't nitpick this old-school novel for historical accuracy.
-------------------New Novel Blurb-------------------
Title: The Villain's White Moonlight, Transmigrated into the Lazy Male Lead
A sweet-looking but truly powerful heroine X a doglike, possessive, edgy male lead
Shen Qing accidentally transmigrates into a "lazy cultivation novel" and becomes the villain who wreaks havoc throughout the story. Her purpose is to oppose the male lead, spur him to work hard, and help him reach the pinnacle of the immortal path.
Thanks, but no...
This is already exactly who I am.
Before transmigrating, she was already a carefree, rebellious little menace, so accepting the villain's role is easy. But Shen Qing never expected that the original novel's male lead would be lazy by nature, with no interest in cultivation and a single-minded desire to lie flat.
Shen Qing has no choice but to disguise herself as a pure and innocent white lotus, deliberately approach him, and deliberately tempt him.
Xie Zheyu falls in love with her at first sight.
He braves the winter wind and snow in the morning to buy her favorite rouge, crosses half the city under the blazing summer sun to bring her a bowl of iced plum soup, and gives her countless tender, passionate love poems.
They spend three sweet, intimate years married. Just as Xie Zheyu's love deepens and he becomes utterly unable to pull himself away, Shen Qing fakes her death and escapes, using his hatred to fuel his desire for power.
Everything goes according to plan. Xie Zheyu joins Shen Qing's sect and grows more powerful... but somehow, things start to go off the rails.
Xie Zheyu changes.
His once-languid, smiling phoenix eyes turn cold as frost, pale and shadowed, while a sinister, chilling savagery settles over his face. He no longer gathers Shen Qing's hair or holds an umbrella for her. The hands that once resembled bamboo and orchids and made her sweet pastries have learned to wield a sword and kill.
When those abyss-dark eyes turn toward her, there is not a trace of warmth in them. He only says coldly, "Master."
He is like a walking corpse.
Xie Zheyu cannot overcome his inner demons and is unable to ascend. Shen Qing reaps what she has sown and can only reenact her old scheme, but this time she is exposed on the spot.
"Master, how much longer were you going to deceive me?"
Shen Qing: "...Let me explain."
Night deepens, and soft red silk hangs around the bed.
Shen Qing's slender ankle is shackled. The man grips her pale neck tightly, his lingering breaths growing hotter with each kiss.
"Qingqing."
Xie Zheyu's phoenix eyes are half closed, his long lashes concealing the dark, violent urge to destroy in their depths. "You can't escape now."
Theme: Live life to the fullest.
It describes the psychological activities of the heroine for several chapters! Can you please stop describing it and let the heroine do something practical? No matter how handsome the male protagonist is, he still has to live his own life... The whole love brain, if he doesn't do practical things, he can't pursue it anymore. This practical fact does not mean that the female protagonist should have a big career, but that she should live her own life! Didn't you say she likes to dance? Author, please stop describing the heroine's psychological activities! The squeamish heroine's character is ruined!!!!
The story is not long, but the writing is really good!
