Who Is Walking Toward Me Right Now?

※Warning※ ※Note: The following content mainly writes my thoughts on "Who is Coming to Me at This Moment", but it also includes the content of two works (including extras) between it and "The Failure of Love". Friends who have not read these two books are recommended to skip this review for the time being, so as not to affect the reading experience! I wrote quite a long reflection (nearly 2,000 words~) However, I just discovered that this article seems to have been revised once in early March?! But I haven't updated the version yet@@ In fact, most of this article was written in early February. Originally, I just wanted to wait until I finished writing my thoughts on "The Failure of Love" before posting it together. However, I didn't expect that it took almost two months to write that article... OTZ What needs to be explained in advance is that the two reflections are actually written along the same train of thought. The time span stretches from mid-January to the end of March now. During the process, my understanding of the characters and themes has been constantly updated... My thinking is always moving forward. Many ideas about "Come to Me" gradually became clear when I was writing my thoughts on "The Failure of Love". I originally wanted to go back and make up for my later understanding, but it didn't feel right to change it, so I decided to keep the original state here. The follow-up "Part 2" will be posted in the comment area of "The Failure of Love". Although in the end my thoughts are scattered under the two novels, they should actually be regarded as a whole, so the numbers in the titles or subscripts are also continued. In short, a reminder, the following content will mention the plot and characters of "The Failure of Love". If you haven't read the other book yet, remember not to read it. ※The full text of this article has been converted from Traditional Chinese to Simplified Chinese. Please forgive me if there are any typos. Text begins Foreword I only discovered these two books in early January. They were amazing. I really like them so much that it's hard to tell which one I like better. These two books are like two sides of the same body. The missing perspective of one seems to be a shortcoming for me. I am very happy that I can read two such good books at once! Although it's a bit regretful that I didn't find my treasure wife until now QAQ, but I'm grateful that we have at least met each other, and it's not too late to get to know each other now. Hug my wife and post >3< After reading these two stories, I had an inexplicable feeling stuck in my chest, but I couldn't clearly identify what this emotion was. It was very restless, very... Swollen, indescribable, very strange and unfamiliar. I didn't think much about it at first, but this feeling didn't subside for several days. Later, I suddenly remembered that Feubs once said that I "felt the wave of another person's emotions and thoughts"... Then I realized, ah, what was overflowing in my chest may not be my own, but the "non-self" emotions that remained in my body after reading this story. They were some consciousness that I swallowed wholeheartedly but was not digested by me... It became a part of me and remained in my body... It made me feel myself being carried by it and rising and falling in the wave. This reminds me that Shao Xiang's regular sorting of world guides is probably sorting out "this", right? So, I began to write this reflection, and in the process I wanted to try to sort out the confusing and unclear things in my chest. Perhaps this process is the so-called self-"grooming"? But think about it carefully, because it's not someone else who is "helping" me to eliminate emotions and thoughts, so this is not an immersive experience of being my own guide (laughs) In fact, it is really difficult for me to accurately write down my thoughts and emotions... I often feel that the words do not convey my meaning even as I write. This made me sigh more than once during the process, how could this work describe emotions so delicately and accurately? The author is really great! I originally wrote this article for myself, but every time I write this type of experience, I still want to post it halfway through. So I want to explain in advance that everyone has their own interpretation of characters and stories. What I write is just my own thoughts (bow). Sometimes I will overturn my previous thoughts as I write, so it can only be regarded as a record of "the current me". The content is extremely subjective and the writing is extremely long. Please feel free to read it (bow again) About empathy-1 There was a period when Eve and Ray were combined. Eve said, "My consciousness merged into another consciousness, and my feeling merged into another feeling." I read this passage when I was reading it for the second time, and I felt that the same was true for me who was reading this novel. I felt what it was like to not be myself. During the reading process, my emotions seemed to be floating in the sea named Eve, pulled up and down by her waves. Although I knew that I was reading "her" (not "my") self-narration, it was obvious that I felt the same way as her during the reading process. The most obvious reaction is in Chapter 6. The housemaster pitied Eve and said, "Look at the people around you who you can meet." My reaction at that moment was - so disgusting. Then I saw that Eve had the same reaction as me - she also said: "How disgusting" I resonated with Eve's thinking frequency. However, Eve is more confused, confused, and collapsed in the story, with no answers and no exit. Like this one, Eve doesn't explain "what" it is that makes her feel sick. Therefore, the "icky" feeling remained, but because I didn't consciously notice what was making me feel uncomfortable, it caused this thing to jump up and down in my body but could not be digested by me. This is probably why I had that feeling of swelling and swelling in my chest after watching it for the first time. Because at that time, I only resonated with Eve's emotions, but the things Eve didn't answer, the things that made me confused or uncomfortable, were not understood, but the story was over. For Eve, her journey is complete, but the part of me that was infected by Eve still remains in my heart like a tangled yarn. What I think is very strange is that although this book is written in the first person and it seems that we can understand Eve very well, what Eve shows us is not all of her "brain". In other words, her narrative made me feel her vague disgust for the dormitory, but the real deep-seated reason was left blank. (Additional note: Later I read the comments and saw that Eve was affected by a deactivator and was relatively insensitive to things... I feel this way, which may also be a manifestation of this incident. It's amazing.) For your own good? So, back to the previous topic, why did I have a "disgusting" reaction at that time? Rationally, I think the character of the housemaster is not a bad person. She showed many beautiful aspects, such as "care", "compassion", "care", "understanding" and "tolerance". All the words were so gentle and considerate, as if full of love and care. I browsed all the comment sections, and I also saw comments saying that they thought the housemaster was very nice and gentle. This may be true in a way. (In other words, a person is not black and white, so it is meaningless to judge whether a person is good or bad.) But I still feel sick. Just looking at the appearance, she did act very decently, and her words were very friendly, and could even be said to be "for your own good." But the subtext behind every word of relief is uncomfortable. "Why not study music or art?" --You have no ability. "Compassion" "Look at the people around you who you can meet" --You don't deserve it. He wrote a "letter of love", saying that Eve "has not gotten over the haze of her adoptive mother's death and is deeply troubled by her own paranoid delusions." --You are crazy, you are sick. Introducing a partner to Eve: "I know you are a good girl, but this is too unfair to you." ——What does it mean to introduce these sentinels when you already know that you are "aggrieved"? This is just for your own good to package the essence of completing the matchmaking KPI. Later, Eve's blind date failed. At that time, the person she was dating called and said, "You said that no one is pursuing her, so it's easy to win." ' Although I didn't say it explicitly, I strongly suspected that the person on the other end of the phone was the warden himself. Is the person who can say "it's easy to win" really on your side? The above-mentioned words "for your own good" are essentially labeling - and at the same time "materializing". They decide what is "good" and what is "bad," put boundaries (labels) on you, and try to take away your freedom of choice. The meaning of "for your own good" can only be understood by those in a superior position. This is the power she shows to Eve, and it is also a way to show her superiority. The implicit meaning is: you have to accept, obey, and even thank me. Everyone in this story is "materializing" everyone almost all the time. (PS. I have always felt that blind dates are also the ultimate manifestation of materialization.) This reminds me of another novel I read before. It was written that human beings like to objectify others (and objectify themselves). This argument is very vivid here. *Talent or interest Another example is the first sentence, "Why not study music or art?" First of all, this person didn't bother to get to know Eve at all, otherwise she would have known that Eve liked mathematics, and she wouldn't have said such a thing. In other words, although she showed concern, she actually didn't take Eve to heart at all. By the way, Eve said that she likes mathematics because "the formulas are beautiful, clean, and safe. It's very comfortable to deal with numbers. There is no uncertainty, and there is no need to experience it." ' I think it's also very interesting. Is this a rebellion against the wizard's talent? The talent of a guide is to sense the feelings of others. However, the world that Eve longs for is a clear world that does not require speculation - mathematics - where there are always definite answers and no ambiguities. (However, the combination of sentry and guide is a blur, between her and him.) The second point is to use suitability/unsuitability to frame the direction of a person's learning, just like drawing the ground to limit yourself and drawing the ground as a prison. If you even put a label on yourself - the moment you objectify yourself, it seems that there is really no other possibility. Just like in the past, school teachers often said that girls are born to be bad at mathematics and science, so it seemed to become a prophecy unknowingly, which is very scary and sad. It can be said that this very clearly reflects Helen's preciousness and tenderness in educating Eve. Helen never set limits for Eve: "Helen told me that I have no problem, I just need more patience and perseverance, and if I persist, I can catch up with others and even do better." Even if she has no talent or talent, she can do what she wants to do and is interested in through hard work, instead of simply giving up because she has no talent. Why? I really like what the author said in the comment area: "Her talent is that she is very interested/good at it is a gift, but she is not good at it but loves it is also a talent." I want to give it a hundred likes. *Gaslight They tried to use words to guide Eve to believe that she had hallucinations and delusions, which was also giving Eve a framework. The first person also makes this part suspenseful when reading, because at the moment when they kept repeating and Eve began to doubt herself a little bit, I also felt unconfident as a reader. (This may be one of the reasons why they made me feel particularly uncomfortable.) Intellectually, I believe Eve's feelings, but I can't confirm whether what happened before is true, or what exactly is the so-called "reality"? If Eve really believed what they said and believed that everything was really her delusion, then they would have succeeded and could easily drive a person crazy. As guides, they could lie very freely, and said to Eve in a very serious and compassionate manner: Those are all your imagination. As a mature guide with outstanding abilities, they should not fail to know that emotions are real and "that's what is real." They know what is true, but as superiors, they deny others so easily. The purpose is only manipulation (gaslighting). After reading carefully, I found that this type of sentence structure that denies other people's knowledge is surprisingly common in this story. Not only the dormitory, but also the people in the laboratory treated Feibs and Eve in this way. Later, when the Doctor appeared, I realized that these people who appeared before may all be inferior versions of the Doctor, but they generally represent the superior and the symbol of "power". Although the guides think they are very empathetic, in fact they show no respect for others - and can even be called arrogance. Although Eve behaves submissively most of the time, she actually knows very clearly that these people cannot be trusted. That's why she always misses Helen in her heart: Only Helen loves me, only Helen will believe me. Because she could feel that the dormitory did not give her these suggestions and care because he loved her. They are different from Helen, she doesn't love her, she doesn't even want/need to know her. All these are just means to control her. Because Eve has Helen as a "perfect" reference person in her heart, she knows what true "love" is, so she can believe in herself extremely firmly in this regard. I think they must have realized this later, so they decided to start discrediting Helen in front of Eve, trying to brainwash Eve into believing that maybe Helen was evil. The purpose was also to destroy the firm "faith" in Eve's heart and control her. But Helen's love for Eve was really too much - "A parent's love for a child is profound." Helen, as Eve's mother, is not an existence that can be easily erased. About the guide In fact, as a guide, according to common sense, you should be the one who has true empathy and can perceive delicate emotions. However, the feeling these people give me is that although they know that the other person feels this way, they actually don't care and don't want to understand why they have these emotions. I don't know if it's because guides need to deal with too many of these "things" that they deliberately downplay the "human" part of them. Eve once said: "In the daily life of a guide, he will face the exploration and guidance of other guides out of concern for his companions, and wash away negative feelings." It can be said that the work of a guide is equivalent to constantly denying the fact that a human being has feelings. The most important basic ability of a guide is to build a barrier for oneself. The purpose is first of all to prevent others from seeing through one's own feelings. This is ironic, because seeing other people's feelings is clearly the guide's own gift. Mechanically eliminating the "redundant" emotions of others is a task that treats the symptoms rather than the root cause. Just like taking painkillers, if the wound does not disappear after taking the painkillers, new pain will continue to occur, which is endless. But they still continue to carry out this meaningless work, and even do it on their own initiative. In the social framework of this story, the guide seems to have been specially trained to sort out the feelings of many people, but their feelings are not important. Because those feelings are so-called "redundant", redundant = no value - the guide's feelings have no value either. This may be the direction in which guides are specially trained and disciplined - they don't have much need for real "humanity". I even thought that in fact, these guides should feel pain for various things, but they are not like Eve who opens their inner world to us. So on the surface, everyone maintains a perfect mask, skillfully showing superficial concern and "care" that does not reach the bottom of the heart - just like a machine. In other words, the female guide in this story is extremely "objectified". The guide system in the story can be said to be completely pathological. Guides at different levels supervise each other. They use their own abilities to very subjectively judge whether a person needs to be guided, and actually do it, regardless of whether the other person needs it or not. This is a kind of arrogance, and it is the "privilege" (power class) of using their own abilities to carry out guidance. It can be said that the entire guide system operates in the ultimate state of objectification - being objectified. All of this is packaged into the words "for your own good", as if just saying the mantra "for your own good", coupled with a "gentle" and "caring" fake smile on the surface, everything seems to be forgiven. Just like Eve in "Failure", she knows that what she does disgusts Foibs, but she still listens to the researcher and does things that disgust him. *About guidance I think watching the two works "Who is Coming to Me Now" and "The Failure of Love" together, the comparison between the two makes people feel very interesting, or in other words, sad. In "Come to Me", when Eve awakens and becomes a guide, she undergoes a series of "healings." She was sedated and "coached" by other guides. Eve described the guide who came to help her: "She must have dealt with many people like me and knew how to deal with me. I thought it was disgusting." These guides are all very typical, conforming to the discipline of guides in this world, and what a "guide" looks like. To a certain extent, "Diana" was also trained in this direction. I think the best thing is that in this world line, Eve has experienced what Foibs hates - being forced to channel. Here, she clearly understands how bad it is to be cleansed of her own feelings. All emotions are forcibly stripped away and diluted, and then everything seems to have ceased to exist, but in fact it is not the case. "I was disgusted because he was taking away my anger, my pain, my sadness," Eve said. Eve hated being misled from the bottom of her heart here. She feels sick, she hates being controlled, and she longs for "freedom." For her, even though having feelings makes her painful, it is her emotion, and she wants to have the right to control her own feelings. Dealing with emotions should be your own subject. How to deal with this emotion, whether to put it aside and forget it, or to remember it forever, should be your own choice. This paragraph also reminds me of another story, where Diana wants to keep her uterus. I think the concept is the same. This angle makes me feel that she is really the same person in the two stories. On the other hand, just in terms of their aversion to communication, Eve and Foybus are actually very similar in nature. They both have a strong desire to have themselves and freedom. It is indeed a 100% match. However, this similarity makes me feel particularly sad. Looking at it from another perspective, would Eve also find Diana disgusting...? After taking a closer look, I found that in both worlds, it was "painful" for her to help people with counseling. There is a section in "Failure" where she quickly destroys the instruments and experimental rooms that caused him pain, using this extremely destructive method as "counseling". This makes me feel that Diana has not been completely disciplined. She appears to be a good girl, but in fact she is always very aggressive. In this regard, the two worlds are actually the same. I think this is also the most beautiful part of reading the two articles together. If one side's perspective is missing, there will be shortcomings. There was also a period when Eve herself was worried that after she left her hometown, she would forget her hatred after being constantly guided and would not be able to complete her revenge. This made me suddenly feel that in "The Failure", the reason why Foibs decided to destroy the laboratory after so long, "guidance" should be indispensable:) It suddenly occurred to me that in many fast-traveling stories, the "system" will wash away the host's emotions, because only by washing away those "unnecessary" emotions can the host continue to complete tasks in the new world without going crazy. In the end, the host can only become a "tool". Without feelings, only rational execution of tasks "given by others", then when there is no task, you will only fall into nothingness. Completely eliminating emotions and feelings as "redundant", what is the difference between it and a machine? Rather than a "person", they may prefer the sentry to be an obedient "machine (weapon)". From this perspective, I think the PhD's research direction is fundamentally wrong. Wouldn't it be good to directly cultivate artificial intelligence robots? (Laughing) Anyway, with either Ray or Foybus, I think it's clear that he's been channeled too much (. Under such intense guidance, becoming a "Turing machine" will only be his fate. His life is meaningless except for Eve/Diana, because he will not be stirred up by anyone/thing other than Eve/Diana. And the guidance will most likely forget his dissatisfaction and hatred for the laboratory. After forgetting, he will not want to escape because it is meaningless. (PS. Off topic, when I wrote my thoughts again half a month later, because the feelings at that time had faded over time, it was extremely difficult for me to start writing again XD) I also thought that why Lei in this world did not finally make a choice like the one in the ending of "Failure", maybe this is also the reason. Of course, I know that the more important thing is that the Eve of this world does not have such a strong power/inner drive for the two of them to work together to achieve that possibility. Likewise, I think they actually don't want guides to have a lot of their own thoughts and ideas. Even if you have an idea, it must be within a controllable range. There was a passage where the housemaster said to Eve: "The Tower District thinks it is cruel for you to marry him." On the surface, this sentence means that the housemaster has a strong prejudice against some sentries, and also has a preference for Eve, who is also a guide. However, later I felt that they actually did not want Eve to marry Lei at all, because Eve was not a child who grew up under the framework of a guide. She obviously had strong personal emotions and preferences. The Tower District had no way to control her. Eve was an uncontrollable variable to them. In their minds, a "suitable" guide should be like Ninety-nine (or Diana), obedient and easy to control. I even suspect that if Eve awakens in this world not as a D-class, but as talented as Diana, but grew up outside, I believe they will separate Eve and Ray earlier and at all costs. Eves Since we mentioned the Ninety-nine, let's write a little bit about the Eves. "Adam's rib", Eve - Eve. When everyone shares the same name, "name" becomes meaningless at all. The matching numbers such as 99/96/66 and so on cannot be called names. When that number became the codename and trajectory of their lives, they became extremely materialized expressions. *Ninety-nine For Ninety-nine, she is a very iconic character who was cultivated by the sentry tower and meets their needs for a guide. Ninety-Nine One didn't seem very likeable when he first appeared. The discomfort Eve felt in contact with her was actually more than just her vicious words. Ninety-nine exists as a substitute for Eve and has a similar appearance to Eve. However, it is that 1% that prevents her from becoming a hundred. When everyone will say to Ninety-nine: "It's a pity that you are not a hundred." I think normal people will go crazy. It's not hard to imagine why she has such an extremely paranoid and twisted character. The meaning of her life was stereotyped by the researcher, and her life was completely denied just for the sake of 1%, which made her have a great dislike for Eve, the 100%. I think it is completely logical. She was even designed to have a speech impediment, unable to express herself to anyone until she "invented" conscious communication. Just looking at Jiujiu's situation, you can tell what a hopeless life this is. At this moment, I felt very clearly why Helen would take Eve away at all costs. Every time Eve looked at them she thought: 'I feel purely sick. After all, what Eve sees in Ninety-Nine and the others is not herself after being extremely objectified? This is why every time Ray gets along with Eves, it makes Eve feel uncomfortable. Because for Lei, who grew up in a morbid environment in the laboratory, he would not deliberately treat the Eves as "people". I don't have any bad feelings towards Ninety-nine, I even have a good impression of her, because in my opinion, she is perhaps the most pitiful one. Although she seems paranoid and twisted, I am also a perfectionist to a certain extent, so I can understand her. Ninety-nine's obsession with Lei was, after all, cultivated by the researcher. For Jiujiu, her existence is meaningful only if she can help Lei (experiment) in her life. Lei is the meaning of Jiujiu's existence. I think her mentality is probably: I was denied because of the existence of One Hundred. Now that One Hundred has appeared, I will lose the meaning of my existence, but as long as Lei still needs me, then I can maintain "me" - Therefore, Ninety-Nine's malice, jealousy and hatred towards Eve actually come more from the fear and panic that she may be denied, and the unwillingness to be unable to reach One Hundred no matter how hard she tries. If you look back at "Failure", you will know that even Diana is hated by Ray. How could Ninety-Nine be in a better situation than Diana? When Ninety-Nine replaced Diana and took on the job that Foibs hated the most, but Ninety-Nine was not as compatible as Diana. Ray could never fall in love with him, and he would only hate her even more. It's not Lei's fault, or Ninety-nine's. I think the laboratory environment is actually quite wonderful. Although the guides have always been controlled and disciplined by researchers, their growth curve unexpectedly possesses a certain degree of autonomy. For example, when comparing guide characters such as housemasters with 99/96/66, you will find that the Eves actually show a more distinct degree of humanity (perhaps it has something to do with their identity/age and experience). Just like Jiujiu actually exported her mental pollution directly to Eve, expressing her disgust clearly and directly. From this point of view, she was quite innocent. However, although Jiujiu has an unreasonable paranoia about Lei, I feel that Jiujiu actually doesn't love Lei at all. Ninety-six once said to Ninety-nine: "If you respect him, you won't be his most annoying guide." But Jiujiu said: "Respect!" --He almost killed you. It was this sentence that made me feel that Ninety-nine cares about Ninety-six more than Lei, which is quite ironic. Therefore, I think that Ninety-nine's paranoia towards Lei is disciplined by the system and is not true "love". *Sixty-six Sixty-six is the character I like the most in this story besides the protagonist. I analyzed the reason, and it was probably because, besides Helen, she was the most kind and sincere person towards Eve. She had negative emotions, but she would openly admit it. She admitted to Eve that she had no way not to hate her. Just for this reason, I felt that she was a very good person. However, from the information revealed by Sixty-Six, we also discovered that the researcher is really despicable. They've treated Ray the same way we've seen them treat Eve before. They told him repeatedly that Eve didn't exist and that he was crazy. Then he told the Eves on the other side that Lei was crazy, that he was delusional and mentally ill. (The similar situation the two faced was really well designed.) This was a good way for the researcher to shift the blame onto Ray and remove himself from it. The guides were created because of thunder, and thunder became the meaning of their lives, but it constantly denied the meaning of their existence. From Ray's point of view, he will hate the Eves just as Fobus hated Diana, because they will follow the instructions of the researcher and do the counseling work that Ray hates. Therefore, they will never be able to enter Ray's heart, and they will constantly feel that they are disgusted and not accepted during the process of contact with each other, and then they will resent Ray - a world of mutual torture has been achieved. I believe this is intentional by the researcher, because the sentry and the guide cannot be twisted into a rope. They will always be divided, and they will always be subject to the control of the laboratory, and will not be able to think of escape or destruction. This is the most cunning part of the laboratory. They also created the imaginary enemy Helen. Sixty-Six once commented to Eve about Helen: "If she hadn't stolen you away, we wouldn't have been born at all, and we wouldn't have been doomed to a life of incompleteness and loss." This pot shakes really beautifully. But after reading "Failure", we already know that the answer is no: even if Helen did not take Eve away, you would still be born and still be disabled. The culprit was not Helen at all. The laboratory's ability to attack was at its peak. About Doctor *The truth revealed? Regarding Helen, I think I only had a more complete understanding of her after reading "Failure". Even watching "Come to Me" alone, I can still understand why Helen chose to take Eve away in the first place. However, because this story only uses Eve's perspective alone, we, Eve, don't know enough about Helen, and most of the information we receive about Helen is relayed by the "Doctor". Therefore, it is very likely that we are influenced by the Doctor's point of view and feel that Helen is too selfish. Eve also felt that she should hate Helen under the guidance of the doctor. But where did this "hate" begin? Where did it come from? If you look carefully, you will find that it was revealed by the Doctor when he first met Eve in Chapter 35. "Twenty years ago, there was an explosion..." "The disability of a staff member" Is this disabled staff member actually the doctor himself? But his statement separated the matter from himself, as if he didn't hate it. "We have been hesitating whether to tell you or how much to tell you. Pretend to be a good person. Originally I refused to say anything, but now I have said it. I actually want to take this opportunity to achieve certain goals. "Do you know what Foibs's opinion is?" I hope to keep it a secret from you for the time being. Separate Fuybus from what he is saying now, in order to let Eve take the initiative to go to Ray after learning the truth. "Helen destroyed you as a guide" This is true, but so what? Eve is not happy as a guide. However, this incident was a huge shock to Eve, because it was equivalent to telling Eve that Helen was the same as everyone else, trying to manipulate other people's lives under the guise of "for your own good." "Passivator" Eve discovered that the disorder that led her to feel low self-esteem as a child was probably related to Helen. "Fantasy Friends" Telling Eve that all this is Helen's "conspiracy", Ray is very pitiful, and she and Ray have actually been connected since childhood, but she forgot, making Eve feel guilty. Overall, the purpose of this conversation that reveals the "truth" is to destroy Helen's image in Eve's mind. The doctor hopes that Eve will also hate Helen, and through this, he hopes that Eve can truly accept Lei and be used by them (so that they can use Eve to control Lei). One detail is that Eve can feel that what the doctor says is "sincere", which is worth pondering. I think the doctor should be a narcissist to a certain extent. All the high-sounding words in his mouth come from his heart, making the slow Eve unable to penetrate the mud hidden beneath his surface. Interestingly, when Lei discovered that the doctor revealed the truth to Eve, his reactions were: "Incompetent", "Manipulated, arranged, blinded", "Angry because of incompetence" - Lei knew that this was the doctor using this matter to manipulate Eve, or in other words, to manipulate himself. But the doctor's plan still succeeded. Eve's outlook on life is pretty much painted for her by Helen. And when Eve learned the truth --So it turns out that even Helen is controlling me? If this is true, what else is there to believe in? Eve's filter towards Helen is shattered – her faith is shattered. At the same time, this blurred Eve's hatred and love for Ray. I think the author's description of Eve's state of mind in this section is really, really good. *Helen mentioned by the doctor In Chapter 39, the Doctor further talks to Eve about Helen's past and choices. On the surface, this dialogue is to "enlighten" Eve so that she can "cheer up". In fact, every sentence is carefully designed. I tried to analyze the subtext and operating techniques behind these words. The doctor affirmed that "people who awaken to become sentry guides should be able to use more talents." However, the Sentinel Guide was like a plaything in his hands. The doctor himself is a vested interest. He said, "The social system limits people's personality as human beings, affects the realization of potential, and prevents the birth of genius." Look at Diana, all the experiments he did are manifestations of the above results, haha. He said, "The most disciplined groups are women and guides. Female guides are under pressure from both sides, cutting off many of their possibilities." Then he added, "She thinks so too." I have a reasonable suspicion that this statement was originally said by Helen (Ada). Only Ada, a female researcher, said this statement is convincing. However, the doctor said this statement first and then added "she thinks so too", which makes this statement the first of his mind and makes people think that he understands it well. Haha again. His definition of Helen "the most beautiful woman, the kidnapped Spartan princess" How should I put this analogy... Helen is an "object" to him, which is completely the most classic "materialization". Seeing this, I can't help but wonder, was the name "Helen" intentional by the author? He said: "I don't need to tell you about your mother who has been with you for twenty years." But then he started to talk a lot... This way of pretending to be noble and manipulating others is disgusting = = Telling about other people's various speculations: "jealousy, fear, regret, greed" and "a speculation of my own." "I have never told anyone else." First suppress and then expand. Other people's speculations are not good, and then you can create a more likable persona for yourself, and also emphasize the "particularity" of this argument. Affectionate setting: "Most people don't like her, but he likes her, too much." "She didn't agree to his proposal because she hadn't married him yet, and most of her opinions had to be accepted by him. It mainly discusses Helen's point of view, emphasizing the importance of experiments to Helen, Helen's selfishness, and experiments are more important to Helen than love, but the issue of herself as the recipient of credit is cleverly overcome. "She loves her, but she loves the lab even more. "They love even more - creating life like God." Emphasizing Helen's cold-bloodedness and madness is no different from anyone else in this laboratory, and is equally blasphemous to ethics and morality. "It was he who suggested using her last name. Emphasizing how selfless he is and "loving" Helen, but in fact this is meaningless, because as mentioned before, the credit for being recognized is all due to himself. "She was happy, but not too happy. Because for various reasons, she was invisible. Once again, the doctor himself is obviously a vested interest, but he cleverly removed himself from this sentence. The sentence "for various reasons" simply puts the responsibility for this matter on others, while he himself is like a pure white lotus. "She has no voice. "It's not that she regrets being exposed to ethical taboos..." This subtly emphasizes Helen's selfishness, implying that Helen stole Eve because she wanted to have a voice over her. And he once again "directly" emphasizes Helen's immorality and madness. "She regards you as her child, but it is even more unbearable than the situation she faces - you will be restricted by many ignorant prejudices, and you will be educated to be a guide attached to the sentry, and a woman attached to a man." Eve's first reaction when she heard this was, "Helen hopes that I can be free to live the life I want." Judging from the results, Helen's judgment is absolutely correct. Just look at the life of Ninety-Nine, and look at Diana in another timeline. Eve was awake at this time, so she asked back: "You have created more substitutes." The doctor replied: "After they failed, they began to look for new value and meaning." Just like every frustrated person starts his life again. Whitewash peace. He never mentioned the harm caused in this process, not to mention that he himself was the source of these harms. In essence, for the doctor, the experimental subjects themselves are still "objects" rather than "people", and he also avoids the important things and compares them to ordinary people ("just like every frustrated person") without mentioning his own ethical responsibilities at all. Maybe people are born with defects, but I think this is different from deliberately creating defects for them and making them suffer pain that they should not have to endure. Because these defects are deliberately created, they should not have to face the pain caused by these defects. I agree that "life will always find its own way", but this sentence should not be said by the person who created the problem. That is too arrogant. "A lot of people thought it was a mistake for you to reunite, and this incident proves they were right. This paragraph is a subtle warning to Eve, or to some extent, it is threatening her. And in the same way, he used "them" to remove himself from responsibility again. Eve asked: "Have you ever regretted it?" The doctor took a deep breath, and then started his performance, only talking about some false and empty principles of human ethics: "Perhaps, you think I am evil, cold, and unrepentant, but I sincerely hope you cheer up. Your life will be long. So the answer is, he has no regrets at all. It's just that the sentence "I don't regret" was not said directly. He packaged it very cleverly. He said "You think I..." Instead of directly saying "I don't regret it." Really, very treacherous. And he went even further to package himself as a "good guy." What is the subtext of the phrase "I really hope you cheer up"? ——Let go of hatred and live well. Then, he can continue to use her to control Feibs. The doctor is very good at calculating. But at this time Eve said: "I don't want to." Hahaha, when I saw this, I thought Eve was awesome and was not led into a trap. In fact, when I see this, I feel suspicious. That is, why did Feibus get the video record of Helen stealing Eve? Logically speaking, this record must be extremely confidential, and should even be destroyed long ago. But it remains. If you re-read the Thirty Questions in the extra episode, you will find that Q: "When do you sincerely hope that the other person will die?" The doctor said clearly: "Look at the time when she stole "Diana"'s surveillance record. I have to suspect that this was all done intentionally by the doctor. He deliberately made Foibs hate Helen so much that he hated her to the core. He deliberately asked Foibs to kill Helen. Everything was planned by him. In fact, he even led Eve to question Helen in the end and made her hate Helen. Very, very disgusting. In fact, after watching the performance of Dr. Thirty Questions' fancy and affectionate confession, what I felt was that the doctor's language was not for communicating emotions, but for manipulation and dominance. If he really disdains honors and the like, he would not complain like "I am always doing the housework" in question 12. He would say this to show that he wants others to see/affirm his efforts! He doesn't really "love" Ada, his love is more like a kind of self-movation - he is obsessed with his own script of "sacrifice for her", but never really understands Ada's wishes or needs. Not to mention, he actually cheated on her!!! Double standards!!! Scumbag!!! I can even predict what he will say if he is found out. It will definitely be nonsense like "even if my body cheats, my true love is still Ada", vomit vomit. Even if he did "love" Ada a little bit, I don't think it would be equivalent to the "love" Ada once gave him. I think the reason why he felt such strong hatred after Ada "betrayed" him was not because his love was hurt, but because his dominance of power was shaken. He couldn't tolerate his transformation from a giver to a rejected person. The humiliating feeling of being "fooled" was the source of his rage. PS. To be honest, Thirty Questions is really interesting and I love watching it. It's a great extra format. About Helen After complaining about the Doctor, let's talk about Helen again. When I watched "Come to Me" for the first time, my impression of Helen was very subtle, because she also used the reason of "for your own good" to dominate Eve's life and hurt Eve. However, in "The Failure of Love", I saw Diana growing up in the laboratory. Although it was a good ending for Diana to escape from the sentry tower and the control of the doctor with Feibs in the ending, it could not erase the oppression and pain she had suffered in the laboratory for so many years, and those scars would never completely disappear. If I hadn't seen the two world lines, I would have thought Helen was too selfish, but after I saw another possibility, I understood Helen's choice again. I can't deny that Helen's choice was correct. Her love for Eve and her desire for Eve to be happy are so real and profound. *Passivating agent Helen's most controversial point was giving Eve a passivating agent. But based on the setting of "Failure", as long as you become a guide or a sentry, it means entering the sentry tower system and losing your autonomy. Helen knew this. Therefore, Helen's move to take Eve away and destroy her talent as a guide was not entirely out of selfishness or deprivation, but truly out of her good intentions. She tried to let Eve have the "freedom" of being an ordinary person instead of becoming a tool of the system. I also saw the third possibility of the if line in my wife's blog - what would happen if Ray didn't find Eve? ——Eve will truly live an ordinary life as an ordinary person. If that was the outcome that Helen originally expected, it is undeniable that it would indeed be the best world line for Eve, right? Helen really wanted Eve to be happy. She could see what Eve would face if she took this path, so she wanted to give her a new possibility, even if --She dominated (manipulated) and hurt Eve. *Eve's feelings for Helen After Eve learned the truth, she did have real hatred for Helen for a time. It was the pain of being "betrayed". But even deeper is the pain of losing her. Because all along, Helen's love for Eve has always been real and concrete. So in the end, these hatreds could not offset her love for Helen. The relationship between Helen and Eve somehow reminds me of the feeling I had when I first watched Disney's Tangled. The witch stole Rapunzel for her own desires and made Rapunzel her "daughter". After raising Rapunzel, the Witch and she sing to each other how much they "love" each other - Rapunzel admits that she loves and is loved. In fact, I think Rapunzel was raised very well by the witch. She is optimistic, caring, loves life and has her own interests. Can such a true, kind and beautiful child be raised casually? Impossible. So even if the motives are not pure, I believe that in places we don't see, the witch really puts a lot of thought into loving her. However, at the end, Rapunzel just watched her "mother" die. She was not more saddened by her mother's death than the death of the male protagonist she had just met. How could this be? How could this be? At that time, I felt very uncomfortable, unspeakably uncomfortable, but my friends who watched this work with me all said to me: "Is the witch a bad person? She took her away from her biological father and mother, and she was unable to grow up as a princess in her original life... The witch deserved this ending." I admit that the witch is a "bad person", she destroyed the heroine's supposedly happy family, and she hurt Rapunzel's real parents. However, let's not mention that for now, just look at the relationship between Rapunzel and her... After so many years, this is the "mother" who has raised her for so many years! Maybe she would "hate" her after discovering the truth, but that was still the mother she had personally said she loved very much. How could she remain indifferent? Mother is actually not as important as an unknown man she has only known for a short time?? I still can't accept it... Love is not such a cheap thing... Unless the loving Rapunzel we see is simply an illusion, perhaps the witch never taught her true love at all, so it only makes sense that she could abandon the "mother" who was no longer valuable so quickly. (Suddenly dark, ha.) (Ahem, sorry for getting off topic.) In short, when I saw Helen and Eve, I thought, yes, that's how it should be, and Eve's reaction is reasonable. Although Helen ruined her original life trajectory, and although Helen fed her medicine and damaged her body, Helen had been very good to her over the years. That was her sincerity as a "mother". She knew that she loved her, and she also loved this mother who loved her. Helen's love is only owned by Eve as her daughter, and only Eve can define the value of this relationship. No one can use any reason/qualification to deny this love, because this love has nothing to do with them. Later, I watched the "Failure" extra "Fairy Tale". For the story "Tinderbox", the reactions of Diana and Foybus just reinforce this idea. At that time, Diana said: "Soldiers are good and bad, princesses are good and bad, kings and queens are so pitiful." Ada asked her why she thought so? She said: "The king and the queen died, but the princess was very happy because she became the queen. She was good and bad." In other words, whether Eve or Diana, their thinking mode is actually the same. Neither of them could accept that the princess (himself) ignored the death of her parents (Helen), nor could they accept that the princess (himself) happily married the soldier (Lei) without any obstacles, and they could not forgive the soldier (Lei). What about Foibs's reaction? He said: "The reason why the story is like this is because the person who wrote the story is a soldier, so he circumvented the social law that bad guys will be punished - anyway, this story is made up, and the storyteller can tell it whatever he wants." This story taught Feibs that only the victors are qualified to write history. For Eve, Ray's existence is this "soldier (victor)", so almost everyone she meets asks her to forgive or even accept Ray. However, no matter what, the moment Ray killed Helen, there was no reconciliation between him and Eve. Ray, who killed Helen, cannot be fully forgiven. I can completely understand and support Eve. *Dependence There is a paragraph at the beginning of the story that Helen cried when Eve asked her parents. Actually, I don't understand why Helen doesn't just say that she is Eve's "mother". Why should Eve let Eve know that she is not her "biological" child? Is it because Helen feels that she should not completely "possess" Eve? (Even if the Doctor can take all the credit?) Or does she feel that she is actually sorry for Eve? Does she think she is not qualified to be a "mother"? Helen wanted to help Eve and escape her destined fate, but in the end she became the one who arranged her fate. Because of this, would Helen feel guilty when facing Eve? I even think that the reason why Eve is often uneasy and overly dependent on Helen is because she knows that she is not Helen's child. However, I also thought of another possibility. The story "Come to Me" is essentially a huge "separation experiment". Eve has been suffering from separation anxiety because she was away from her destined Sentinel since she was a child, so she transferred her "love" to Helen, the only one she could rely on. Perhaps part of her love for Helen was really an empathy with Ray. In "The Failure", although Diana loves Ada very much, she also awakens as a guide because of Ada's departure. However, as the story develops, Ada's influence on Diana is far from being as irreplaceable as shown in "Come to Me". On the other hand, I wonder if it is because of Eve's experience of delayed development as a child that she is more sensitive to other people's evaluations? Because I found that Eve really, really cares about what the outside world thinks, even more than I do (. (Of course, it may also be a guide talent bonus?) Because she cares so much about evaluation, Eve would even escape to the toilet when Ray was competing. When she was later praised, she expressed joy: "I have never been truly appreciated as a guide by another guide." There is another paragraph that expresses a similar view. Eve said: "If there are no other people in the world and there are only me and him, he is innocent." Therefore, no matter what, the desire to be recognized by others has always existed in Eve's heart. I'm thinking that the reason why the heroine is particularly attached to Helen and regards every word Helen says as a life creed is engraved in her code of conduct. Is it because for a long time, only Helen has given her timely positive feedback when she was helpless and self-doubt? "Even if everyone thinks I'm worthless, Helen will support me unconditionally. Helen is really, really nice, and I can totally understand why Eve loves her so much. If there is someone around me who loves me unconditionally and believes in me, I should also regard her as a spiritual support (. About Lei *About hate Lei said: "I have been in pain, you forgot me, you let her replace me, you still hate me for her, you can forgive her, but you can't forgive me, because you don't love me, you love her." However, true "love" is not an emotion that can be offset by each other, nor is it a relationship where "you don't love her" but you can "love me". What's more, Eve's love for Helen is not the love between lovers. She kissed Helen on the Ferris wheel just because she longed to be with Helen forever. Eve said to Helen: "That's enough for me to love you." Helen replied: "Love between lovers is different." --Actually, Eve doesn't quite understand what "love" is between lovers. Even at the end of the story, I think Eve's "love" for Ray is still mixed with chaos. Ray's actions really touched Eve. The most critical step should be the moment when Lei took the initiative to ask her about "mathematics". No one else had really wanted to know Eve before, but Ray wanted to know her. After Helen, no one really "loved" Eve, but Ray "loved" her and was willing to accept all of her. He actually gave Eve a lot of things that she would crave. So, do you want to say that Eve is not attracted to Lei at all? Not really. It is precisely because of the temptation that Eve will continue to struggle and torture herself between love and hate. Those contradictory, hesitant and chaotic thoughts all showed her struggle and wavering. I really like the author's delicate depiction of Eve's heart. However, Ray killed Helen himself. Ray still has an indelible hatred for Helen. Therefore, Eve can never truly forgive Ray, nor can she truly stop hating him. Helen's death doomed the tragedy between Ray and Eve. Thinking of this, I couldn't help but guess again that the reason why Lei had so much hatred for Helen was perhaps deliberately guided by the doctor. This hatred cannot be completely eliminated by the Eves' guidance, because the Eves are also led to hate Helen. If Eve lives, and Helen lives, Eve cannot be controlled by them, so Helen must die. Even so, Eve is still an uncontrollable guide who grows up outside of their control. Therefore, it is also necessary to have irreconcilable conflicts between Ray and Eve. This contradiction makes it impossible for the two to be together without any grudges, and they cannot have any thoughts of resistance and pursuit of freedom (of course Eve does not have the same ability as Diana). And when they discovered that they still had to use Eve to mobilize Lei, the first thing they did was to destroy Helen's image in Eve's mind so that Eve could actively lean towards them. However--it failed in the end. In addition to killing Helen, the reason why Eve couldn't accept Ray may also be the original scene []. But perhaps because it is the beginning of the plot, compared to the pain of Helen's death, my memory and emotions about this scene have always been very confusing. Or maybe I'm subconsciously suppressing it because I can't quite understand or define it. Once you comment rashly, you always feel that it will become a kind of blasphemy against pain. I even wondered for a while that if I could still feel the love between them later, could it be that I was indifferent to this hurt? But then I thought, Eve wasn't attracted to Ray because of post-traumatic attachment or confusion. Just as Diana would sympathize with Foybus who had hurt her, Eve might also be able to see a sick, immature desire for security in Ray's "possession". Or perhaps, for Eve, compared to the physical violation, the trauma caused by Helen's death was the deepest. Therefore, that section [ ] was also downplayed by her (or myself) unintentionally. But no matter what, I think Eve finally chose Lei because she really and truly felt Lei's love in the subsequent relationship between the two. *About love In fact, when I first read it, I always felt that the story was missing Lei's perspective, but when I re-read it, I realized that the female protagonist's perspective always includes the male protagonist's perspective, but it's very subtle and clever. This is also what attracts me the most about the pull between the two in this article. Ray's "love" seems to be more of an instinctive desire for Eve, and it seems to be controlled by genes. However, in fact, as outsiders, we cannot deny that it is not a kind of "love". Just like when I was watching "Failure", although Foybus kept trying to die (?) And did various elementary school behaviors to hurt Diana - but I didn't feel that he really didn't love Diana at all, and he was so happy eating candy (?) Because we can actually know through the surface that his instinct... Or deeper desire has always been Diana, but he didn't realize it at the beginning, and "love" only lacked some opportunities. Ray would always ask Eve repeatedly: "Is Helen nice to you?" "Is that really her?" "Is she really nice to you?" ... I think he has such doubts because he has never felt "love" from anyone in this laboratory. I believe that the "love" Helheim gives to Ray is not a love for a "person". In the same way, I don't think Foibs would feel that Helheim "loves" him. But Foybus must be sure that Diana was loved by Ada. Ray here has never seen with his own eyes the way Ada treated Diana. He cannot believe that Helen, who was also a researcher, would "love" Eve, so he will always want to confirm, does Helen really love you? Did she really make you feel loved? How is Helen's love different from my love? Perhaps another interpretation is that for Ray, he may not be able to accept (or have not thought about) that Eve can live a "happy" and pain-free life without him. What's more, Helen, who made Eve happy, was the culprit who made him suffer all his life. So Ray will always want to confirm whether Eve is really happy because of Helen. ... Here I suddenly thought of Feibs. Because Foybus loved Diana, he felt that it was more important for Diana to be happy. So, what about Ray? If Ray really loved Eve, would he feel the same way? Then he will find that he originally thought that killing Helen would be a happy thing for everyone: Eve is rescued from the "bad guys" by him like Rapunzel, and the two of them can live a happy life. But the prerequisite for getting this ending is that Eve is also suffering because Helen has the same separation anxiety as him. Eve should hate Helen as much as he does... That's right. The fact is that Eve does not need him to be happy. He is the one who really destroys Eve's original happy life. Another plot that impressed me was that Ray thought Eve would be happy if she "punished" him. This makes me think that maybe it was for the same reason that he chose to kill Helen in a cruel way before, because punishing someone he hated would make him happy, so by the same token, letting Eve punish herself would also make Eve happy. Later, after watching "Failure", I realized that there might be another angle to interpret this matter. When Foibs was "punished", the person who caused him pain was Diana. Diana would feel pain because of this, but Foibs liked that Diana sympathized with him. In other words, Ray might be the same way. Furthermore, the nature of this "punishment" is very similar to the tolerance training that Foibs received. For Feibs, enduring the pain of endurance training can be affirmed and praised. Therefore, for Ray, this is not a particularly special or bad thing. His values are distorted. He will not realize that this is a very cruel abuse for Eve. From Eve's perspective, she simply cannot accept that there is such a "dark" side in the world. She will only feel that everyone here is a pervert and she is out of place... **The way of love Although I said that Lei may not understand what "love" is, Lei has the ability to love others. Ray has been trying hard to love Eve with his understanding. I think this is his most precious trait. He will be happy because of all Eve's reactions to him (whether positive or negative), just because he can feel Eve's care for him. This reminds me of the saying "The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference." So as long as it is not indifference, it is enough for him. He would try to understand Eve - 'Why math? He would say to Eve: "I will be better to you." He wants Eve to feel that he loves her more than Helen (instead of Helen), so he tries to cook for Eve even if he doesn't. (As an aside, regarding the cooking part, Eve's reaction when looking at the burnt omelette was: "Don't he know he can't cook? Then why do he do it?" However, in fact, when others question her lack of talent to do something, she is disgusted, what a double standard XD) Ray would even take the initiative to take a deactivator, just so that Eve would not feel his hatred for Helen, so that maybe Eve would not hate him because of it. In the Ferris wheel, he said: "I don't feel anything, but I know I love you." I know I should kiss you now. "The contrast between Lei in this scene and Foibs who was awkward when Diana kissed him on the Ferris wheel in "The Failure" is really heartbreaking. Moreover, Ray is a more insensitive person than Foibs, and he is more machine (non-human) than Foibs. Even so, putting aside the initial murder and [], he was able to realize that he could "love" Eve in these ways later on. This makes me wonder, is the way he treats Eve actually the way he expects to be treated? --Care about him personally, want to know him, be able to understand him, and be good to him. After comparing the two books, there is something even more touching. Foybus in "Failure" was very eager to try before taking a passivating agent for the first time. But after actually eating it, he admitted that he hated the deactivator - he lost interest in everything because of the deactivator... Only thinking about Diana could bring him mood swings. When I read "Come to Me" before, because I only felt Lei's "desensitization" from Eve's perspective, I didn't really understand why Jiujiu was so angry about Lei taking deactivators. I can't understand what Ray was facing when he put himself in this situation. It wasn't until I saw the scene where Feubs took the deactivator for the first time, and even the sentinels who usually made jokes were like zombies, that I realized that the deactivator might be like being deprived of their own existence for the sentinels. This is why Feibs always seeks stimulation after taking it. It wasn't until he found that he still reacted to Diana's incident that he finally felt at ease. The "boredom" brought to him by the passivating agent was later compared to "loneliness" by Foibs. However, Foibs also realized that what he considered loneliness was different from other people's. Because he will always - "feel that there is still a Diana in the world." When I read this paragraph, I thought of Ray. The entire story of "Come to Me" is essentially a huge experiment in separation. Foibs once commented that when Ada left, Diana "could not understand that "leaving" was not "cease to exist"" and overreacted. He could say this conclusion lightly... But for Lei, everyone would tell him-"Eve does not exist." Ray, like Foybus, may always feel that Eve (Diana) still exists in the world. The difference is that Foibs would say "I can never experience true loneliness," while Ray... Perhaps it is because of this connection that he feels deeper loneliness. **Passivating agent In this section of the amusement park, Lei, who took the initiative to take deactivators, may be in a state closer to that of Foibs in the later stage. In the later period, Fuybus would also take the initiative to take passivating agents in order to complete the task. Diana, like Eve, hated this stone-like, feelingless thing. But Foybus liked to be tender with Diana in this state. - "Because he has no emotions, he can "hear" Diana more clearly because she completely occupies him. -- "They are as close as one person." For Foibs, because his feelings and emotions were suppressed by the deactivator, he could feel Diana's feelings more clearly. He could confirm in this that Diana's reaction to him - all reactions were because of him, which would allow him to confirm that he was cared for and loved, and Foibs felt that his existence was meaningful. This can explain why Ray's love for Eve is still so strong after taking the deactivator. Because after taking the passivating agent, Lei can feel Eve's presence more clearly and even become one with her... (This is so delicious!! QAQ) *Come to me Eve said: "The most terrifying thing is that in this isolated and helpless situation, only he can listen, realize my pain, be accepted, listened to, understood, tolerated and loved." --At this moment, he is the only one walking towards me. Eve was loved by Ray, so she also fell in love with Ray. Later, at the end. One detail is that in the well, Eve originally tried to bring Lei up, but failed. Ray noticed Eve's panic at the time, and he felt sad. Then, Lei took the initiative to let go. Ray was once so obsessed with Eve, but finally chose to let go - he was willing to let her be free. Lei here is gentle. He knows that he makes Eve suffer and that he cannot make Eve happy. So he let go voluntarily - this is Lei's "love". Ray's love for Eve is real. And what about Eve? --'Give him back to me. Is this a biological instinct? No, I don't think so. That too - love. There was no one else in the well, and Eve couldn't lie to herself. She had already fallen in love with Ray as he kept walking toward her. Therefore, in the end of this story, Eve herself chose to fall with him. This made Lei happy, because this time - Eve took the initiative to choose him and go to him. "Helen said that death is the only thing in the world that must be experienced alone and cannot be accompanied by others. She rarely said anything wrong. She was wrong about this matter. We come into this world in pairs, and we must leave in pairs. --At this moment, I walked towards him. --They chose each other. The ending paragraph is so well written that I can read it over and over again. I really can't think of a more appropriate title than "Who's Coming to Me Right Now". It's really, really romantic. The ending of the story is also perfect. I felt neither hopelessness nor sadness. It's just pure romance. Many thanks to the author for writing such an ending for both of them. I also think this is HE. PS. If we want to talk about BE in this article, I think the angle should not be that the protagonists both die, but that both the doctor and the laboratory are alive and well in the end. That is the core of the ultimate BE. It's so abominable... PS. I also like the spiritual image of the jellyfish and the white ball. I saw the white ball being gently put into the body cavity by the jellyfish, and the two fit together as one. Every time I think of that image, I feel strangely satisfied for some reason (?) By the way, another one of my favorite passages about the spiritual body is in Chapter 16. Eve doesn't want Ray to sleep next to her and drives Ray away. As a result, Ray takes Eve's spiritual body away on his own. Eve is so angry. I think it's super cute. It makes me smile when I think about it. --To be continued. The follow-up "Part 2" will be posted in the comment area of "The Failure of Love".

Like it very much. . . In such a twisted worldview, this is the best ending. Eve was forced to be incomplete, and Ray was forced to be complete. The incomplete Eve became complete because she had a self, but the complete Ray has been enduring the pain of being incomplete (referring to having no self). Helen cruelly tore them apart, deceived Eve and caused her disability, but this also allowed Eve to grow up ordinary and happy without being reduced to a humanoid weapon. Who should be blamed? There is no answer. . . All the conspiracies are true, all the sins are true, but the most painful thing is, all the love is also true.

Putting everything aside, doesn't anyone think this movie's thunder is a bit harsh??? It was so astringent that I had no intention of thinking about the idea behind the work. All I could think about was the astringency!

I found it true that some of the authors who write about female consciousness will write bl at first, because this itself is the rise of female consciousness in the morning, but they will not write about it later, because they feel that women themselves should have their own consciousness, rather than being attached to the male identity.

I really, really like it. I was not interested in Shaoxiang PA before. Today I watched Shaoxiang for the first time, and I really like it... The strong spiritual connection is more intimate than the direct physical connection, and it is very astringent... The author is good at writing, and I feel that I have devoted myself to the text. I almost let out a sigh of relief when I saw the ending, and I felt like "yes, that's how it should be". Very, very perfect he, beautiful and decisive love...

First-person perspective articles make emotions particularly direct and profound. After leaving God's perspective, we can really only follow Eve's perspective step by step, and experience the feeling of the world collapsing repeatedly bit by bit. I forgot which part of the plot I cried at, the whole story was quite emotional... This ending may be the only choice Eve can make by herself after awakening. From gene editing to being taken away from the laboratory, from witnessing Helen's tragic death to finally choosing to fall and never wake up, among the things related to the laboratory and the tower, Eve is not Eve, but just an experiment, a future S-class guide, and a vassal of the Sentinel who is destined to become a 100% match rate... And the only time she can choose freely is the day she lives with Helen. Although I am not Eve and am not qualified to say which one is better, Helen's mechanical farm or the city's work plan are much better than the tower's aloof attitude and "flexible permissions" to choose whether to tell Eve or not as needed. If there is no Helen, if there is no experiment, if there is no passivation agent, if Ray does not discover Eve... It is a pity that if any of them can work, Eve, just follow your choice...

The first and favorite Shao Xiang article I read gave me a different perspective on this subject and made me feel the unique charm of this subject. I looked at it on another platform before, but because I couldn't get on it, I went to Lujiang again and finally found it. It has been a few months since I finished reading this book. This is a belated review, a thoughtful appreciation, and a resonance immersed in life. It was the author's writing style that attracted me at first. Such perceptual and stream-of-consciousness words flowed through my will like running water, making me feel spiritually mobilized for the first time in an online novel for a long time. With just the right amount of hatred, just the right amount of curiosity, and just the right amount of unwillingness, I read the entire novel all night long. In the end I couldn't sleep for a long time. That kind of compatibility written in genes, that kind of peace that comes from each other, really moved me. I even couldn't help but draw a fanart after reading it, but I put it aside because it couldn't achieve the feeling I imagined. I am really lucky to see such a work.
