Goodbye, Scumbag. Your Uncle Loves Me More

As the only son of the Xu family, young star Xu Shi married into the Huo family at twenty-one, becoming the wife of Huo Xiao.

They had been childhood sweethearts, so the marriage seemed like the natural next step.

But married life was nothing like he had imagined.

The so-called deep devotion was merely a bargaining chip to swallow up the Xu family's business and stand against his uncle.

In public, he and Huo Xiao were inseparable. In private, he watched Huo Xiao bring someone back to spend the night in their master bedroom.

Then he was thrown from a car in an accident and lay in a hospital bed for three years.

Given another chance at life, Xu Shi dumped the scumbag without hesitation. "I'm not marrying you. I'll marry someone else."

Your uncle seems like a good choice.

After rejecting his engagement to Huo Xiao, Xu Shi cheerfully went off to work on a film set.

He never expected the investor to be his cheating ex, or the leading man to be his scumbag ex's new love.

He was demoted from the lead role to the second lead, and handed the script of a discarded rich man's spouse.

Xu Shi had grown used to this familiar routine, so he only smiled.

Until one late night, Huo Chenfeng, the true head of the Huo family, arrived on set. After Xu Shi finished filming a nighttime scene in the snow, he beckoned to him from a short distance away, a flickering ember between his fingers. "Come here."

Someone drew a sharp breath.

The ring on the hand brushing snow from Xu Shi's shoulder looked just like the one on Xu Shi's ring finger?

Everyone turned in unison to look at Huo Xiao, who had no respect for his "elders." His face looked as if it said, "I'm done for."

Huo Chenfeng took over the Huo family at twenty-three. He had dominated the business world for years and was renowned for never revealing what he was thinking.

Yet he was also the kind of man who would fly thousands of miles to his lover after seeing a viral joke edit pairing them with someone else, pull him into his arms with unmistakable jealousy, and murmur, "You like younger men?"

Under the gaze of those fathomless eyes, Xu Shi shivered. "Can we talk this out? Don't be jealous, okay? At least don't get jealous in bed, all right?"
