Mei Ling, a model socialist successor through and through, accidentally transmigrated to an interstellar beast world twenty years ago. To earn a living, she started livestreaming.
Then her former subordinates dug up every last detail of her secret identity.
No big deal! A strong woman makes her own way, and she never expects anyone to feel sorry for her... She can build a thriving livestream sales business and become a top-tier star, too!
So why has even the insect race, the beastfolk's sworn enemy, invited her to livestream their products? Have they forgotten that their two peoples just finished fighting a war?
Oh, they did think of that. Her livestreams are so popular that she's gained a bunch of insect fans, who say buying her products is a guilt-free pleasure.
Insects: Wars can be fought slowly, but haste makes you lose money. Anyway, Mei Ling has to immigrate to the insect race!
Mei Ling: ?
But during the immigration negotiations, the insect representative looks down on the frail, seriously ill Mei Ling.
Mei Ling's expression turns cold. "Your intelligence isn't up to having a conversation with me. If you have something to say, talk to my former subordinates."
The insects are still trying to act tough when they notice that the fox commander, who was so dignified and aloof just moments ago, has a dark look on his face, while the elegant, old-fashioned crow negotiator's eyes are full of murderous intent...
If the guards weren't holding them back, the beastfolk would have beaten him to a pulp.
The insect representative swallows nervously. "You'd restart a war between our peoples over a little streamer?!"
Mei Ling smiles without answering, her gaze drifting away.
If the insects found out she was Mei Ling, the prodigy general who led an army that nearly drove them back to their nest a few years ago, they'd be more likely to send an assassin than ask her to livestream their products.
That very afternoon, her former subordinates show up at her door, volunteering their services and practically giving them away.
The green snake captain wraps his tail around her waist. "General, what's so great about that green-tea fox? Feel my waist. It's stronger than his."
The crow scout lands on her shoulder. "General, those fools are fighting over you again. Beasts on the ground are nowhere near as clever as birds. Why not choose me?"
Mei Ling kicks them all out. "Get lost! Don't get in the way of me making money."
That night, Mei Ling's old injuries flare up. When she wakes from her faint, she finds herself lying in the arms of her most honest and dependable former subordinate.
The white-haired fox commander gently covers her eyes and whispers in her ear, "General, why go to them and not me? Am I not as good at being a dog as they are? I'm better than they are."
"Listen. Woof."
Mei Ling: Seriously? You fluffy ones think you're not clingy enough?

Reader's guide:
1. A feel-good power fantasy.
2. A heroine with maxed-out charisma x a lovesick, brooding hero with maxed-out unrequited feelings.
3. The author solemnly swears on their honor: The story strictly respects the characters' personalities equally. The fox hero just likes cosplay and gets jealous easily. Both the hero and heroine are honest, decent people and would never do anything that violates social norms or crosses moral boundaries.
