Has the Regent Successfully Won His Love?

To protect her family, Su Yao was forced to become the Regent Mu Liangchen's mistress. Though she had no choice, she was willing. For five years, she was his nameless, unacknowledged lover, thinking he must care for her at least a little. Only when he forced her to drink a cup of poisoned wine did she learn that his heart belonged to someone else. She was nothing but a joke, a toy for him to vent his anger on. He had never loved her. After being reborn, Su Yao came to her senses. In this life, she had only three wishes: First: Protect her family, and never let her father or brothers become implicated in a treason case. Second: Eat well, drink well, and enjoy herself. Love herself, and never again abase herself for love. Third: Stay away from Mu Liangchen and find a good husband. The first two wishes should be easy enough, but who could have guessed that staying away from Mu Liangchen would be harder than climbing to heaven? Every fine young man she took a liking to either broke an arm or a leg, or called off the engagement. Branded as a woman who brought misfortune to her husbands, she found no one in the capital willing to marry her and could only seek a match far away. Later, Mu Liangchen cornered her in a narrow alley. His icy fingers slithered up her slender neck like a serpent's tongue, and his gaze was feverish, almost mad. "Yao Yao, don't even think about escaping." "You will marry no one but me!" Didn't he not love me? Then why was he acting this way? P.S. The female lead was not killed by the male lead. She only believes he killed her. Theme: Live life positively and love yourself!
