So on the run, Qu Yannong, an Omega, does all the fighting, while Song Xingchi, an alpha, cheers him on and claps.

Enemy: That's Song Xingchi, the Alliance's great general! If we capture him, the Alliance will have to give us whatever we want! Brothers, get him!

Qu Yannong: Wait! My man is in poor health. You idiots, come at me instead!

Song Xingchi: Nongnong, save me! Nongnong, you're the best! Go, Nongnong!

But eventually, Song Xingchi's secret identity cannot stay hidden any longer.

His sinister cruelty, his willingness to do whatever it takes, his possessiveness and obsession, and the way his tongue unconsciously laps at his lips and his Adam's apple bobs when he sees the unique pink heart-shaped gland on the back of Qu Yannong's neck all begin to give him away.

Everyone tells Qu Yannong to see Song Xingchi for who he really is. Qu Yannong sees him clearly, then says with complete sincerity: I know he keeps sneaking glances at my gland. Actually, I kind of want to find out what the blood mole on his Adam's apple tastes like, too.

Everyone: You little idiot, are you trying to get yourself killed? That's not what we meant!

Qu Yannong knows he's just slow on the uptake, not stupid. So he knows that even though Song Xingchi can destroy a whole building with a snap of his fingers, whenever he holds Qu Yannong by the waist, it's always as if he's handling fragile porcelain.
