After graduating, Tom became head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, the Ministry of Magic's least popular department, to avoid attracting too much of Dumbledore's attention. After Tom confessed his feelings, Alan began to let himself feel them too, and started hoping he could offer Tom more help.
Dumbledore is distracted by two concerns: Grindelwald's schemes for Britain and Mrs. Anna's ambitions. Little does he know that those two have already joined forces, planning to bundle him off to Grindelwald as a political bride to avert disaster.
So who will end up getting the better deal?
