How to Raise a Monster

(I couldn't make the original premise work, so I've switched to a new one. If you don't like it, feel free to take it off your reading list. "Bows")

Xu Zhaoning is a poor thing, unloved by everyone.

She thinks none of it means anything. Then she looks down and sees a strange, sticky seed land in her hand.

Xu Zhaoning suddenly wants to see the seed sprout.

So she buries it in the soil, but keeps finding traces of it on the floor, in the fish tank, in the fridge, and even on her bed.

Her dreams are getting stranger, too.

Sometimes she wakes up with a red ring around her ankle and tiny marks scattered across her thighs.

How strange, she thinks, but she never bothers to investigate what is behind it all. Even when tentacles emerge from the seed, she wonders what it likes to eat.

One day, a well-dressed man knocks on her door.

He says he's left something at her house.

"What?"

A frail tentacle silently creeps over, twisting and winding around her waist.

"My... seed," he says with a smile.

A monster hiding among humans has fallen for a human girl.

Love her, love her, love her, love her, love her. I want to court her so badly, I want to court her so badly, I want to court her so badly.

She brought home the seed he used to court her.

She agreed to be his wife.

So, when will he drag her back to his lair...
