Back to the 1990S as a Cat

Jiang Xiaomi’s father is a prince of a certain country, and her mother is a celebrated genius painter. She is a bona fide little princess, the kind who stands to inherit the throne. Frailty and illness marked her childhood, and she was cherished like a precious jewel. Everything she ate, wore, and used, and everywhere she lived, was top quality. She was a real-life Princess and the Pea, the kind who could feel a pea through ten mattresses. One day, she woke to find that instead of a soft, comfortable mattress, she was lying on rough earth. The little princess let out a shriek, but all that came out was a feeble... “Meow!” She had become a stray cat. In front of her sat a huge chipped bowl, with even a fallen leaf floating in the water inside. Meow, meow, meow. Jiang Xiaomi nearly burst into tears. But before long, she realized that her body was far stronger than before. The difference was like that between a tiger-slaying hero and the Princess and the Pea. And here she could watch chickens brawl, listen to the goose general show off his book learning, bat at butterflies, and chase mice... A cat’s life was full of delights. One day, a city kid came to the house. He was fair and clean, almost like a girl, but astonishingly bold. His gaze settled on the white cat, who seemed practically enchanted. Zheng Fengshi: Come on, kitty. Let’s go make a name for ourselves! Jiang Xiaomi: ??? He urged her to take out loans, start a farmstay, develop tourism, and run ads... And somehow, it all took off. The beautiful white cat turned over on the sun-warmed bluestone slabs and lazily showed her belly, like a fluffy ball of cotton. Later, that photo became the tourist logo of Qingya Village. Everyone in the country knew the white cat who drooled in her sleep. They learned she could paint, read, do arithmetic, and roam the hills in search of the most beautiful views. The quiet little mountain village, dormant for years, really did come alive thanks to tourism. Some villagers opened farmstays, some sold tea and mushrooms, and some learned to guide visitors. One person even printed a batch of scenic postcards painted by Jiang Xiaomi, which sold faster than the county seat’s calendars. Jiang Xiaomi naturally became the village’s biggest star, more famous than the bully of a big white goose at the village entrance. Later, when a TV station came to interview this nationally recognized model tourist village and asked who had led the whole community to success, everyone lowered their heads in unison. The reporters were baffled, until they spotted the dignified, elegant white cat sitting at their feet. Jiang Xiaomi swished her big tail and raised her head with practiced modesty. “Oh, it was nothing. It’s all thanks to the villagers’ support, meow!” Tips: 1. This is a period setting, with adorable pets, tourism development, and an ensemble cast. The tone is light and heartwarming. Compared with my other novel, A Cat’s Days in a Wealthy Family, this one is more realistic and down-to-earth, full of everyday family life and lively village happenings~ 2. The heroine will turn back into a human later on, but not for a long time. My completed works: A Cat’s Days in a Wealthy Family, Dinner Is Served, and The Fake Heiress Gets a Nation-Building Plot. Coming soon: The Little Eatery on the Great Song Frontier. The heroine flees hardship to open an eatery in Xiongzhou. Frontier life and everyday delicacies, a leisurely food novel set in the Northern Song dynasty~ The Disfigured Actress is purely about making movies. I’d be thrilled if you could add it to your collection! Theme: Pursue your ambitions at a leisurely pace
