After Abandoning the Capture Target

Also known as 108 Ways to Train a Dog and How to Save My Boss with a Love-Brain

Blurb One:

A new recruit has suddenly appeared at the liquor company, suspected to be the Boss's lover.

From the moment of their debut, they held a status no lower than Rum or Gin. And because they only appeared at night, a veil of mystery surrounded them.

The many undercover agents watched with curious eyes.

Only Vermouth stared at that face, uncertain and alarmed.

She had seen that face decades ago, in the Boss's study.

A small portrait had been framed there. It showed a beautiful young man with a cool expression, standing in an old-fashioned courtyard. His ornate kimono was decorated with glittering jewels, like a young master of a noble clan, lovingly raised by his entire family.

She hadn't looked for long, because the Boss had cast her a cold gaze.

Not even a lifeless object was to be pried into by others.

[We are God and the Devil, for we must defy the tide of time and bring the dead back to life.]

The Organization had truly accomplished it.

Mochizuki Ren, who had transmigrated while playing a game: ???? Who died?! You're the one who's dead!

Blurb Two:

Mochizuki Ren didn't know why Vermouth always looked at him with strange pity.

Vermouth: Because you can't live in the sunlight after being revived, and you're forced to become a monster of the dark. It must be so painful.

Mochizuki Ren: …

The ones being raised (original characters):

1. The younger brother (Karasuma Renki) who seized the position of heir from his older brother (Karasuma Renya) (romance route)

2. An illegitimate son left behind by the former leader (the stray dog) (romance route)

3. A yandere girl who overturns her decaying, patriarchal family (the only family route)

4. To be determined

You are the music, the heavens, the palace, the river, the angel, the deep rose that God displays before my blind eyes, secret and endless.

- Jorge Luis Borges, The Deep Rose

A few notes:

1. Typos will be corrected at a set time.

2. No romantic pairing in the ending.

3. The author's writing is limited, and they love brainless, everyone-loves-the-heroine stories.

A story I'm about to start writing (around May 10):

What Should a Light Novel Hero Do After Wandering into a Hot-Blooded Shonen Manga?!

Blurb: Hanyu Xuezawa is a thoroughly laid-back boy. Strange things and strange people often show up around him, but he still maintains a peaceful outlook.

[This is the Everyone-Loves-You System 0018!!]

[Do you want to reach the pinnacle of life!!]

[Do you want beautiful women on both arms! A whole harem of beauties, beau...]

Hanyu Xuezawa calmly sipped goji berry tea. "Are you frozen?"

0018 looked at the people around its Host:

A nature spirit mermaid princess, an arrogant curse spirit girl, a delinquent girl next door, a golden-haired tsundere who had suddenly appeared, a feudal young lady who had been saved, a white-haired guy who had fallen into the Drowned Woman's Spring...

0018: ...Host, what do you think of men?

Hanyu Xuezawa: ???

Much later, the main god's realm held an awards ceremony.

As the representative of the Everyone-Loves-You Systems, 0018 shared the secret of its success.

"First..."

The other Systems picked up their notebooks.

"You need to find someone everyone loves."

The other Systems: ????

[He is like the wind, like a dream, like the light, like a passing bird. He is the embodiment of all that is beautiful.]

A few notes:

1. The author is terrible.

2. No romantic pairing. All original characters will receive clear rejections later on.

3. Extremely out of character, extremely idealized.

4. Characterizations may change with the author's mood.
