It should have been a perfectly happy story. Unfortunately, six years later Yu Shengwei met a certain man, Ruoyue Xiuyi, or rather, the FBI agent Shuichi Akai, who was using Ruoyue Xiuyi as an alias.
Shuichi Akai was an exceptionally capable man. Not long after joining the Organization, he earned the code name Rye and joined its elite operations team.
They fell in love. Just as Yu Shengwei thought their life would go on like that, Shuichi Akai abruptly defected. Supposedly, his secret plan to arrest Gin had been discovered, exposing his real identity as an FBI agent. As a result, all of Yu Shengwei's research was suspended, and he was confined to the Organization's base.
Brandy had always been forceful within the Organization, but most members knew little about his research abilities. Boss had always favored him, too, which had earned him the resentment of many members.
Yu Shengwei disregarded his status and went to America, but he never even saw Shuichi Akai. Instead, he met Shuichi Akai's former girlfriend, the woman who had been his real girlfriend all along.
After Yu Shengwei was taken back to the Organization, Boss, who had always indulged Brandy, for some reason threw him into the laboratory without even investigating. There, he became the lowest-ranking test subject in the research institute...
Shuichi Akai never imagined that Yu Shengwei, once so proud and radiant, the Brandy who always had his way, would become timid and selfish, his heart full of resentment. He never imagined that Yu Shengwei's way of taking revenge would make him suffer a thousand times more than when he'd cruelly left Japan and Yu Shengwei behind.
There's a reason Dai Moroboshi's alias isn't used. It will be explained in the story.
There is no romantic storyline between Shuichi and Akemi.
