Uncle

Also known as: Mr. Zhou, Helpful Local Citizen

The first time Zhou Yunian saw Xue Ning, she was following behind Zhou Yaoran.

Zhou Yaoran told her, "Call him Uncle."

Xue Ning obediently greeted him. As she lowered her head, she glanced at him cautiously, then hurriedly looked away as if startled.

Zhou Yunian thought to himself, This little girl is just like a rabbit.

The second time Zhou Yunian saw Xue Ning, she was standing in front of a friend, tearing into her scumbag boyfriend.

The five-foot-five girl had a presence that felt almost nine feet tall. She was fierce as could be.

He chuckled. So even rabbits bite when you make them angry.

The third time Zhou Yunian saw Xue Ning, she was drunk. She bumped straight into his arms and gazed at him with watery eyes, complaining, "Uncle, Zhou Yaoran is bullying people. Are you going to do something about it?"

He thought to himself, Since you called me Uncle, I'll take care of this.

He never expected that taking care of things would turn into a lifetime of it.
