A Ghost-Hunting Life with a Two-Faced Demon Master

Ever since Jiang Wanqiu put on the Tears of the Mermaid necklace, which let her hear other people's thoughts, she had noticed that her usually aloof and restrained master seemed like a different person. Improper, over-the-line thoughts often echoed in her mind.

Before she and her master went to subdue demons, she looked at the piles of bones and wreckage on the ground, filled with righteous indignation. Her master calmly advised her to make good connections and help the monsters and demons attain Buddhahood. Then she heard her master's thoughts:

[Hehe, once they become Buddhas, we'll dig out their Buddha cores and use them to boost Wan'er’s cultivation.]

Jiang Wanqiu: "..."

When they went to catch a ghost in a secret chamber, they opened the door and found the room was far more complicated than they had imagined.

Eerie laughter filled the chilly room. The ghost that kept messing with them turned out to be only a clone, and sticky traces of blood dotted the place. It was horrifying.

Her master gently reassured her that there was nothing to fear. Her face went pale, and she was just about to thank her when she heard her master's thoughts:

[Hehe, scared now? Hurry into my arms.]

Jiang Wanqiu: "..."

She quietly moved in the opposite direction.

When they accidentally entered a ghost city and fell under the bewitching spell of a lecherous ghost, the enchanted ghost chased her, grinning foolishly only at her.

With the situation growing desperate, she gritted her teeth and offered to put herself in danger as bait.

Her master coolly refused, saying her cultivation was too weak. Then she heard her master's thoughts:

[Hehe, you dare try to steal Wan'er from me? I'll make sure you know what it means to be ground to dust.]

Jiang Wanqiu: "..."

Has a lovesick fool come back to haunt us?

Jiang Wanqiu kept a straight face. "...Master, could you act like a person? Don't let your selfish desires get in the way of what's important."

A certain Demon Lord said wistfully, "Thanks for asking. I'm a demon."

Jiang Wanqiu: "..."

Damn, he just admitted it?
