HP: Starry-Eyed

Firenze had been feeling a little troubled by his teaching lately.

There was a quiet girl in the corner of the back row who was often late to class, and she always left her weekly assignments blank. He was even-tempered, but still repeatedly considered whether he should ask her to stay after class for a talk.

But on the day they had arranged to talk, she suddenly asked the head of house to transfer her to the class of his competitor, Professor Trelawney, who taught the same subject.

He thought that would be a relief, but soon heard that Trelawney had a gifted student who eagerly joined discussions, finished assignments ahead of time, and even helped clean the classroom.

Firenze, a centaur who was usually unflappable, was no longer calm.

“What's the meaning of this, student? Do you think I'm a bad teacher?” He cornered her on the eighth floor, his front hooves drawing near as his beautiful cobalt-blue eyes flashed with excitement.

“No... That's not what I mean.”

“Then what do you mean?”

“...This.”

The centaur Firenze watched in alarm, and with a little secret delight, as the girl before him slowly captured his dry lips.

“My eyes are full of stars, and they're all you.”
