For reasons of her own, Jiang Li's high school crush found out about her feelings, and her secret love became an open one.
But her crush, Zhu Funian, barely reacted and didn't care.
He thought a girl's feelings at that age were like a sudden gust of wind.
But he didn't know that after graduation, when the wind scattered everyone, it would leave her love untouched.

Seven years later, by a twist of fate, Zhu Funian found a wallet.
Inside were two blue-background ID photos that had been pasted together, one of him and one of Jiang Li.
His brows twitched. He couldn't help feeling a little incredulous.
In the end, those blue-background photos became red-background photos, printed on their marriage certificate.

On their wedding night, the writer of tragic endings, "Zhu Sui," who had put down her pen for years, began writing again.
But this time, she broke with tradition and gave the story a happy ending.
Zhu Sui: I married the inspiration for my male lead. I want a happy ending with him.
–"We said goodbye and promised never to meet again, but I still want to break that promise just once."
–"I kissed the sea that belongs to you. Year after year, I beg it to tell you that wordless longing speaks louder than words."
The names are drawn from the phrase "year after year, a gift for every year."
