The Fated Villain Has Gone Offline

On the eve of his wedding, the demonic cultivator Xie Fuling is betrayed by Su Yun'an, his betrothed and childhood companion.

Only after he dies does he learn that Su Yun'an is a transmigrator carrying a System, a professional at capturing the hearts of chosen ones in order to steal their fortune.

And he was the unlucky one with the most fortune of all.

A hundred years later, the Heavenly Dao brings Xie Fuling back to life. He discovers that Su Yun'an has stolen his cultivation foundation, taken his treasures, seized his territory, and reinvented himself as Venerable Nianyun, praised by everyone in the cultivation world.

Meanwhile, Su Yun'an is up to his old tricks, trying to win over Ye Qingfei, the newly risen number-one prodigy of the cultivation world.

Heavenly Dao: Help! This outsider has stolen too much fortune, and the chosen ones are falling one after another. I'm doomed!

Xie Fuling: ???

Heavenly Dao: Venerable, as the most powerful villain, you have to save the world!

Xie Fuling: Thanks for the offer. Reborn in a slum, starting from the start with nothing but a dog, no parents, a good-for-nothing constitution, and nearly starved to death.

Xie Fuling decides to live off his looks first, striking a "sugar daddy contract" with Ye Qingfei, the cultivation world's number-one prodigy.

So when Su Yun'an finally manages to disguise himself and join Ye Qingfei's sect, he sees the stern, ascetic prodigy of the righteous path devoutly kissing a beautiful young man.

And that heart-stoppingly beautiful young man looks exactly like the demonic cultivator lord Xie Fuling from a hundred years ago!

Su Yun'an, horrified: A ghost! A ghost!

Xie Fuling, coolly: How do you want to die?

In a nutshell: A carefree beauty who starts out a good-for-nothing and becomes incredibly powerful x a righteous prodigy who's stern at first and turns dark later. They go from deceiving each other to being genuinely devoted, with mutual feelings.

Theme: Good and evil are always repaid in the end
