The Cannon Fodder Childhood Friend Awakens as a Drama Queen

[Sweet Romance] Ning Si is handsome, kind, and popular. In everyone's eyes, he's a little ray of sunshine. But after being reborn, he learns that he's just a cannon-fodder love interest in a melodramatic danmei novel. He and the great villain grew up together as childhood friends, going from falling in love to secretly pining, and finally to having his confession rejected. In the original story, after he confesses to the straight Gu Chenyuan and forces him to give an answer, the two of them grow apart even faster. And the novel's main plot goes like this: Gu Chenyuan is inevitably going to fall in love with the true protagonist shou, fight the protagonist gong for him, and ultimately lose in love, leaving the country to heal his broken heart. He gives his assets in China to his childhood friend Ning Si, and even uses his connections to introduce Ning Si to a high-quality rich young man who is a top, hoping Ning Si will give up his crush on him. Three months later, Gu Chenyuan is sitting on the lawn of a recuperation estate when the butler hands him a letter from China. “Sir, Ning Si passed away yesterday. The surgery failed.” The day Ning Si confessed to him was the same day he found out he had cancer. Ning Si: ━┻︵╰(‵□′)╯︵┻━ * By the time Ning Si awakens, the story has already reached its ending. He looks at his hospital diagnosis and refuses to play the role of a plot device. He decides to do whatever he wants! Gu Chenyuan still falls hopelessly in love with the protagonist shou. His bags are packed for his trip abroad, and he's picked out his plane ticket. All that's left is to have someone transfer his assets in China to Ning Si... That day, rain pours down in torrents. Ning Si cancels the surgery and opts for conservative treatment. His first move is to cut the power at Gu Chenyuan's house, disconnect the internet, remove the SIM card from his phone, give all the servants time off, and tell the staff he works with to take a break. Ning Si: “Forget the high-quality top. Starting today, I'm going to a gay bar to find a scummy top.” Then he slams the door and walks off! That day, Gu Chenyuan is so furious he gets up from his wheelchair, picks up a cane he hasn't used in ages, and angrily walks over a thousand steps!
