The Bright Moon Is Like Her

Qiao Mingyue has always had things go her way. Whatever she wants, she gets. She grew up cherished and spoiled.

With a colorful love life, she is convinced that the next guy will be her first love, and keeps changing boyfriends in pursuit of that first-love feeling.

Four years ago, she lured Cen Yanqing, the only son of the Cen family, away from home, then dumped him as soon as the novelty wore off.

Then a little accident happened.

She got pregnant.

A quick calculation revealed that the father was her ex, the man she had dated for three days and who had clung to her for three months after their breakup.

Four years later, she boards a plane with a little one who is clearly not as clever as she is, flying from Dali back to Jiangcheng to win back her husband.

Qiao Mingyue's patience runs out.

Mr. Cen is threatened: Marry me, or I'll find your precious daughter a new dad.

It takes just three days to seal the deal.

The domineering CEO gets pressured into marriage and moves in with his bride that very night.

After they marry, Cen Yanqing thinks they can settle into a happy life together. But barely has the New Year passed when Qiao Mingyue leaves on a business trip to pursue her career and film a gardening show, leaving him at home with their child.

Cen Yanqing even starts to wonder if she married him under false pretenses.

After the show airs and becomes a hit, curious netizens dig up their marriage certificate.

The CEO is cornered by reporters outside his company.

Reporter: Are you and Ms. Qiao in a marriage of convenience?

Cen Yanqing, without batting an eye: We fell in love freely, and marriage was the natural next step.

Reporter: When did you get married?

Cen Yanqing: The day before New Year's Eve. As soon as the holiday was over, she went on a business trip. She has no place in her heart for this family.

Reporter: And Niannian is...?

Cen Yanqing: My biological daughter. Would you like to see the paternity test?

Reporter: And what about your wedding ceremony...?

Cen Yanqing smiles: I'm working on it.

Reporter: What do you think of Ms. Qiao's many ex-boyfriends?

Cen Yanqing: She says I'm her first love. Thank you.

When his wife and daughter come knocking, Cen Yanqing doesn't even try to resist. He has always known that she has him wrapped around her little finger.

Now all he wants is to fit into this family.

Of course, it would be even better if his wife spent a little more time at home :)

Everyday parenting, with the male lead getting a little angst (his mom says he loves every minute of it).

P.S. The heroine's many romances were all minor flings with terrible men.

Theme: Perseverance pays off.
