[An old-school, melodramatic love-triangle betting story =w=]
[Brainstorming notes below; the Weibo post has been archived _(:з"∠)_]
Xue Yang is a vain little cat. When his fiance becomes disabled, he decides to dump him, pack his things, and run away. But just after leaving the tribe, he faints and gets picked up by the first male lead.
Now, the first male lead is a pure-hearted, dark-skinned, rough-and-tumble bear of a man. He takes Xue Yang home to pamper him as his darling wife. Holding the little cat, he blushes bright red, though his dark complexion makes it hard to tell. He doesn't know what to do with his hands and feet, and he's so hot all over he feels like a branding iron, poking Xue Yang's delicate, pale skin.
Fortunately, he diligently dotes on his wife every day, and the little cat grows plump and rosy under his care.
The only downside is that every night in their nest, the bear pins him down and nuzzles him like a lovesick stalker. (The cat resists.jpg)
But the good times don't last. Before long, other beastmen start coveting Xue Yang's beauty. This is where we have to mention the fierce rogues living outside the tribe.
The second male lead is an androgynous, cold-blooded rogue snake beastman, one of the beastmen who covet our little treasure. But that's not important. What matters is that he's powerful.
One day, while the honest, simple-minded bear is out hunting, he barges into the tribe and forcibly abducts Yang Bao.
·
As for the third male lead, he's the younger brother of Xue Yang's fiance. The fiance used to be a warrior in the Eagle Tribe, but an accident left him disabled, and his personality changed. He became gloomy and obsessive.
The third male lead has always despised the little cat for being vain and betraying his word.
One day, while flying overhead, he spots the little cat and the snake beastman acting all lovey-dovey. Outraged on principle, he decides to teach the fickle little cat a lesson!
Naturally, he ends up joining the army of stalkers obsessed with nuzzling cats =w=.
*
Back at the tribe, the fourth male lead asks him, “Didn't you say the little cat had someone on the outside? Tell me exactly what happened.”
The third male lead gives an awkward laugh. “Haha.”
Sister-in-law, you're irresistible.
And the fourth male lead is, of course, the fiance who was injured and disabled, then cruelly abandoned, turning him into a dark and deranged obsessive.
(To be continued)
Additional notes:
The fifth male lead is a pure-hearted, cool guy. He's the type to wait for his chance, lounging lazily with a blade of grass in his mouth when he's not hunting, like a lion.
When Xue Yang first picks him up, he's skinny and dark. The little cat often struts around and bullies him (or so he thinks), treating him like a subordinate.
Who knew he'd grow up big and strong in the blink of an eye, leaving the little cat looking tiny beside him?
The little cat is tough on the outside but timid within. He still makes a show of clenching his fists and threatening the lion, but in truth, he's afraid the lion will get revenge.
That's one reason the little cat runs away. Of course, before leaving, he doesn't forget to tease him a little (or so he thinks, qvq), leaving him hanging and questioning his own sexuality.
Then the little cat turns around and runs off.
·
In short, five beastmen get handed five different scripts. The first male lead gets rustic romance, the second gets forced conquest, the third gets sister-in-law romance, the fourth gets the darkening script, and the fifth gets childhood sweethearts, turning a straight man gay, and falling in love through self-delusion.
The one thing they all have in common is that they're devoted to their wife and hopeless romantics =w=
