[Palace Legends] White Rose

Helena is the only princess. Her mother was the famous "court temptress," and she is the daughter of King Edward V and his mistress, Selena.

When Helena was six, her mother died of depression. She was raised by the king's godmother until she was thirteen, when she returned to the court where her mother had died.

She is Selena's daughter, blessed with a beauty few possess, but she can never shine as brightly as her common-born mother did.

This most magnificent cage had suffocated her mother, and it leaves Helena struggling to breathe as well.

Everyone watches her. Whatever treatment her mother received, Helena receives in even greater measure.

She is called "the enchantress in white," "the broken rose," and "the court's most cherished darling"...

The nobles on both sides of the court lavish praise and ridicule on Helena. Fickle crowds adore and hate her in turn.

Like her mother, she remains silent, and that silence only makes her more captivating. Like her mother, she is imprisoned in the golden cage fate prepared for her, waiting for her final destiny as people watch, tease, cherish, and ignore her.
