I Usurped the Throne After Raising the Protagonist [Interstellar]

Shen Muzhi transmigrates into a male-lead-centric interstellar novel.

The protagonist, Caesar, is raised to believe his enemy is his father, then tortured and ruined by that same enemy.

When he learns the truth, he kills his enemy with his own hands, cuts a swath through the galaxy, unifies the stars, and ultimately establishes a cosmic empire.

Shen Muzhi is a vicious cannon-fodder character who once helped the enemy bully the protagonist.

In the ending, the protagonist's beastly instincts awaken, and he tears Shen Muzhi to pieces.

On the day he becomes cannon fodder, Shen Muzhi hears his colleagues flattering him: "Because you just slapped the Fifth Prince, the First Prince thinks very highly of you. Your future is limitless!"

Shen Muzhi's vision goes dark. Limitless, all right. Limitless human remains!

To save his life, now hanging by a thread, the vicious servant who just bullied the protagonist slips into his bedroom under cover of night. He gently rubs the trembling wolf ears of the little boy pretending to be asleep and murmurs, "Poor thing. This is the only way to keep you safe."

Five years later, the plot begins.

Shen Muzhi pats the protagonist on the head. "Good boy, you've grown up. Go make a name for yourself."

The protagonist, now a strapping young man whom Shen Muzhi has raised, sniffles with tears in his eyes. "Brother, don't you trust me anymore?"

Shen Muzhi: ?

Shen Muzhi: "I mean..."

Before he can explain, the protagonist drops to his knees and bows. "I will help you ascend the throne, Brother!"

Everyone knows that

Emperor Shen Muzhi of the Empire is broad-minded and mild-tempered.

His only sore spot is his undefeated general, Caesar.

But where Shen Muzhi cannot see,

Caesar is like a rabid dog guarding its food,

tearing apart anyone who dares covet or harm Shen Muzhi.

Shen Muzhi, constantly fretting over his wolf cub's reputation: "I'm so worried. My sweet, adorable cub is so kind. Why does everyone keep calling him the Mad Dog General?"

Only when the rebellious wolf cub pins him down and bullies him does Shen Muzhi finally understand. "You mad dog!"

Caesar kisses him contentedly. "I was always the dog Brother raised."
