Once upon a time, there was a piece of jade with a small world inside it. One day, someone shattered the jade, splitting both it and the little world within in two. Each half found a new owner.
.
Then one day, the two pieces of jade met and fused into one, becoming a single small world. Their owners, the male lead and the female lead, were both completely bewildered.
.
[Female Lead's Perspective]
.
The female lead accidentally transmigrates to an ancient world. She spends some time raising chickens, ducks, geese, and fish, and plants a few acres of crops before realizing that she has transmigrated to a cultivation world.
.
In the cultivation world, humans are no more than ants. A single spell can crush a whole group of them. To avoid being crushed, she searches everywhere for a way to cultivate, but has no connections and can't find a path in.
.
Eventually, her space becomes connected to that of a powerful cultivator.
.
[Male Lead's Perspective]
.
The male lead lost both parents when he was young. Though he embarked on the path of cultivation, his days in the mortal world still remain a pure sanctuary in his heart: the thatched cottage, the well and vegetable garden, his mother's home-cooked meals and mended clothes, the grass hats and grasshoppers his father made, and the simple life of raising chickens, ducks, and geese.
.
He tries his hardest to recreate it in his space, but he was born with an evil-omen constitution, and the spells he cultivates are highly destructive. He can't keep anything alive, and even the ground where he has lived becomes barren.
.
He thought he would never experience the warmth of everyday life again, but one day, his space became connected to someone else's.
.
After that, all he had to do was set up protective barriers. Without having to put in the work of planting flowers and grass, he could see a paradise every day, smell the aroma of food wafting from the other side, and watch chickens and ducks running around while someone gathered snails, fished, brewed wine, and picked fruit.
.
Someone else was living the life he had dreamed of.
.
The male and female leads each own half. The female lead grows vegetables, raises fish and chickens and ducks, and lives a sweet, happy life, while the male lead has all kinds of deadly arrays and a desolate landscape.
.
The male lead envies the female lead's farming life, and the female lead envies the male lead's ability to soar through the air. One day, the two discover each other secretly peeking, their eyes full of envy, jealousy, and resentment...

[I wrote this story once before, but unfortunately it went off the rails, so I'm starting over~]
