But instead of bursting into tears as expected, the baby blinked enormous, watery amber eyes and reached out tiny arms to the terrifying demons and monsters, babbling for cuddles.

The money-loving Pixiu presented a treasure hoard it had been guarding for a thousand years. "Go buy the baby some formula!"
In the middle of the night, the Ugumori Bird sneaked into the bureau to steal the baby. The Black Serpent caught it and beat it up, but it still refused to give up its plan to keep the baby all to itself.
The nine-tailed fox gathered the softest fluff from the tip of its tail, spun it into a blanket, and gave it to the baby for a nest.

To help the baby grow up healthy, the ghosts and monsters overcame their fear and hatred of humans and came to the human world.
To save up for the baby's kindergarten fees, they opened an "ordinary" haunted house.
But as pale-faced, fanged zombies, paper figures that moved without a breeze, terrifying monsters, and others moved in one after another, this "ordinary" haunted house gradually became a huge online hit for its lifelike and utterly terrifying experience.
The delightful surprise hidden inside even had plenty of timid visitors weeping as they insisted on coming back. It was the baby, dressed in a white sheet and following the demons and monsters around, trying to act fierce and jump out to scare people: Squee!

The satisfied baby puffed out their chest. "Look, I scared you, didn't I!"
The visitors spread the word, saying the haunted house's signature adorable ghost NPC was out on the job!
[Notes for readers]
* The early chapters spend more time in the demon realm. In the middle and later chapters, the demons will go to the human world to open a haunted house, take the baby to kindergarten, help the baby find their family, and take the baby "monster hunting," among other things.
* A lighthearted daily-life childcare story. The baby can sense the slightest changes in people's emotions and fluctuations in spiritual energy, and has a constitution that attracts ghosts and monsters.
