Reading notes:

1. The completed novel He Only Wants to Be a Good Monster is the prequel. This story follows Xiaoman after he arrives in Hongdu and can be read on its own.

2. For the first 100 chapters, Lu Man will spend most of his time as a pigeon. Later, he will return to human form and take on other forms as well.

3. The protagonist can split apart. From the start, he splits into three selves: his main body, Lu Man, and his two halves, Lu Man and Lu Man. His complete form looks sixteen years old, while his split forms look eight.

The nine-tailed fox gathers the softest fluff from the tip of its tail, spins it into a blanket, and gives it to the baby for a nest.

To help the baby grow up healthy, the monsters overcome their fear and hatred of humans and come to the human world.

To save up money to send the baby to kindergarten, they open a "perfectly ordinary" haunted house.

But as zombies with blue faces and fangs, paper figures that move without a breeze, and hideous monsters move in one after another, this "perfectly ordinary" haunted house gradually goes viral for its terrifyingly realistic experience.

And its surprise bonus attraction is so popular that even the most timid people come in tears: the baby, wearing a white sheet and following the monsters, jumps out pretending to be scary. So cute!

* The early story has more scenes in the monster realm. In the middle and later parts, the monsters will go to the human world to open a haunted house, send the baby to kindergarten, help the baby search for family, and take the baby "monster hunting," among other things.

* The story is mainly lighthearted everyday child-rearing. The baby can sense the tiniest changes in emotions and fluctuations in spiritual power, and has a constitution that attracts monsters.
