Day and Night Building a Science-Based Hell at Any Cost

In the sixth year after arriving in a new world, former horror-game NPC and current perfectly ordinary elementary school student Xiao Dousawa Anna received a warning from the [Narrator].

As the supernatural resurges and the world of Detective Conan arrives, Xiao Dousawa Anna, burdened with the two debuffs of “being coveted by ghosts and monsters” and “being rescued by a hero 100% of the time,” is destined to become the chosen one. Cursed spirits hunger for her soul, demons eye her flesh, and even ability users think she'd make a fine test subject.

The Narrator: “Miss Anna, will you choose the youthful, invincible route of hard work, or the villainous route of falling to darkness and making a comeback?”

The six-year-and-one-month-old girl looked at her height of less than one meter, then at the school gate that had become “Teitan Elementary School.” With all due humility and sincerity, she asked, “Can I just lie flat?”

Lying flat was out of the question. A kind ghost god from the hell of a neighboring world told the girl that only by improving this world's underworld and placing restraints on supernatural powers could she live a peaceful life.

Anna: “I don't know exactly how to do that, but I'll do my best!”

And so...

When faced with the ghostly Sakura Quartet, little Anna invited them: “The Underworld's Reception and Escort Department is hiring underground civil servants. We offer full social insurance and housing provident fund, and you'll keep serving the people even after death.”

Black-Haired Curly: “Sounds great! Everyone, let's go watch that guy Rei after work!”

When she met Yokohama's red-haired gravity manipulator, little Anna stared at the black-haired foreign ghost floating behind him and immediately offered him a job in the “Violent Apprehension Department”: “If the spirit behind you can join too, you can even get a free apartment underground.”

Hat Guy: “I'm taking this side gig!”

When she happened upon a newly born trio of Special Grade Cursed Spirits, little Anna was so thrilled that tears filled her eyes. “You want to judge humanity's sins? You don't need to rest for twenty-four hours? This is exactly your specialty! Please come work as jailers in our underworld. I'll pay you ten times the going rate!”

Volcano Head: “Hell is my home, and I'm determined to be an outstanding employee!”

After the worlds merged, an organization called Purgatory appeared on the radar of every faction.

Because of this organization, the head of Public Security met his deceased best friend, a Transcendent who had died long ago returned to Yokohama, a secretive yokai organization reappeared in the public eye, and even jujutsu sorcerers gained an option beyond the jujutsu world.

The leader of this organization was known as the [Underworld's Agent].

When a thousand-year-old curse user who sought to overturn the entire world finally went to great lengths to meet this Agent, he found a little girl doing her homework.

“I'm sorry, but you have far too many sins weighing on you. How about taking a trip to hell first?”

Seeing him, the little girl smiled sweetly and offered her suggestion.

Synopsis:

In the Inquisition's most secure and sinister dungeon, a pitiful, adorable little girl helplessly strikes matches. Each time one burns, however, it consumes the souls of the wicked.

In the Graypool Swamp, teeming with monsters, a girl in a red cloak wields a magic cannon. On the night of the full moon, she smiles as she offers the mad werewolves a funeral song woven from bullets and blood-red roses.

In the mysterious sea of death, a mermaid princess cloaked in stars and sea spray raises her voice in song. A waterspout a hundred meters across bursts from the sea, driving away the white fog that has shrouded these waters all year long.

A girl in gray takes the place of an innocent sacrificial maiden and walks alone into a black dragon's lair. When she emerges, she has tamed the evil dragon and renovated its lair, becoming a legend among adventurers.

The everyday plot mainly follows the Detective Conan world, with background elements from Enma's Assistant in Hell. As the supernatural resurgence continues in the middle portion, the story gradually brings in Jujutsu Kaisen, Bungo Stray Dogs, Inuyasha, and more.

3. It may not be obvious, but this is a child-rearing story. The romance only starts when the characters are adults; the early story focuses on raising the child.

4. “The uncanny” means “abnormal” from little Anna's point of view, not ghosts and monsters in the broad sense. There are tons of personal interpretations. Any out-of-character writing is on me; all glory belongs to the original works!
