The Accelerated World

In 2024, scientist Min Shi invents accelerated reality, allowing people to freely adjust the speed of the real world.

The world is thrown into an uproar. Humanity has finally conquered time: working at four times the speed and relaxing at normal speed is no longer a dream!

Wave after wave of reporters, fellow academics, and even government agencies visit Min Shi. But he not only claims accelerated reality is Pandora's box, he also refuses to make the technology public.

After repeated attempts to communicate go nowhere, the surrounding residents are evacuated one morning, the media retreat to the rooftops of nearby high-rises, and an armed squad breaks down Min Shi's door.

While stationed in the media area on the rooftop, Sui Ju captures Min Shi's face on camera for the first time.

On screen, confronted by an armed squad with overwhelming firepower, the handsome, upright young man is driven onto a balcony. The hands that should be adjusting precision instruments in a lab are now holding a heavy machine gun.

“Even if this is the last day of my life,” Min Shi says with resolve over the radio, “I will never compromise.”
