Listen, the Cake Is Talking

The first time Shi Sheng met Cheng Mo was in a silent cake shop she had invested in. Cheng Mo was the shop's pastry chef.

When he heard his benefactor had arrived, he came out especially to thank her, gesturing animatedly for quite a while. Shi Sheng couldn't understand a word. She only remembered how sunny and handsome he looked when he smiled that day, and how sweet the cake was.

It was also the first time she felt that having money wasn't such a bad thing.

The second time Shi Sheng saw Cheng Mo was at a nursing home. She was a philanthropist, and he was a volunteer. Shi Sheng watched Cheng Mo smile as he handed cake to each of the elderly residents who had no family.

When he saw Shi Sheng, he came over cheerfully to greet her and gestured for a long while again. Shi Sheng couldn't understand him, so she only smiled politely.

Much later, Shi Sheng learned that Cheng Mo had told someone she was a good person.

"I'm not a good person at all," she said.

Shi Sheng had never met anyone like Cheng Mo. Even surrounded by darkness, he still tried his best to light the way for others.

Cheng Mo's smile was like a ray of light, brightening the gloom in Shi Sheng's heart and awakening a desire to keep him all to herself.

She wanted to hide him away and keep anyone else from seeing him, for the rest of their lives.

One-on-one romance, a warm and healing story.
