To My Dear Mr. He

Just something I wrote on a whim.

The stars hidden in my heart want to see the sun, too.

There isn't much of a plot or story. It's all just genuine feelings.

Unrequited love is painful, so remember to give yourself a little sweetness.

A bittersweet aesthetic, unfolding at an unhurried pace.

Unrequited love means never asking when someone will return, never expecting happiness.

At seventeen, Song Qingran was like every lovestruck girl, her heart full of the person she liked, her eyes seeing only He Yisui.

The best ending for an unrequited love is when one person's affection becomes shared happiness.

At twenty-four, Song Qingran finally married the person she had loved for years. She was overjoyed, as if she had the whole world.

There are always regrets, and they are what make us unable to forget.

At twenty-six, Song Qingran came to her senses, left for a distant land with her regrets, and walked away from the person she had once sworn to love for the rest of her life.

Goodbye, my boyhood sweetheart. Goodbye, my youth.

On her twenty-seventh birthday, it had been ten years. Not ten years for them, but ten years for her alone. Song Qingran thought that perhaps at twenty-seven, she would finally be able to let go.
