In an age when the Heavenly Dao is caught in a frenzy of cutthroat competition, even Heavenly Daos are divided into ranks.
Jiang Nanchu has fared the worst of all. He doesn't even qualify for the ninth rank. With the little world he painstakingly cultivated about to fall apart, he can only transform into a hardworking little bee and sneak into other worlds to gather fortune.
Every higher world has a Child of the Heavenly Dao. Jiang Nanchu nervously protects his secret identity, working tirelessly by each Child of the Heavenly Dao's side and devoting himself to them, all in the hope of obtaining a fated keepsake before he dies and taking it back to his own little world to replenish its fortune.
But there are many restrictions on obtaining fortune. First and foremost, the Child of the Heavenly Dao must give it to him willingly.
Those keepsakes are not easy to obtain. They are:
The undeveloped crystal core of the Zombie Emperor during the apocalypse;
The most prized imperial jade seal of a tyrannical ruler;
The life-bound sword in the hands of a Sword God who cultivates the merciless path;
The mecha key of an empire's marshal in the interstellar age;
An inch of the demon prince's spine in his original form;
Jiang Nanchu: weak, helpless, and utterly lost: "..."
Just destroy it. Whoever wants to be this Heavenly Dao can take the job.
Later, the once-insignificant little world uses one patch after another to rise spectacularly above all the others.
The Children of the Heavenly Dao, having lost their "most beloved possessions," finally come looking for him. The snow-white Sword God follows his trail to a modern-style seaside villa. From an old, dust-covered box in the corner comes the sound of a sword ringing.
He forms a seal with one hand. The wooden box vanishes in an instant, scattering all sorts of odds and ends across the floor, along with his life-bound sword.
"Maybe you should just delete me..."
A young man wearing only a towel around his waist strolls in, humming a little tune.
The Sword God: "."
Jiang Nanchu: "."
The towel goes plop onto the floor.
