-------Novel Blurb-------
Warning: This is not a conventional matriarchal society. This is a story about a timid heroine who grows over time and a male lead who's sweet on the outside but dark within, and completely unhinged.
What do you do when you wake up to find you've transmigrated, with a man in your bed?
The original owner of this body was the Third Princess of Dongqian, a kingdom where women held power. She was neither learned nor skilled in martial arts, and the boldest thing she ever did was kneel outside the royal study and beg the ruler to give her a male courtesan in marriage.
This courtesan, Gong Yiling, was quite unusual. His mother was once the prime minister, but she gave up a comfortable life to rebel. In the end, Gong Yiling, once a fine young nobleman, was reduced to the lowest social class and became a pitiful soul everyone could bully.
And Gong Yiling was the original owner's beloved, a man she'd been obsessed with for years.
What do you do when your beloved is in trouble? Of course you marry him!
She got her beloved, but then died on their wedding night.
As a transmigrator, Shen Yue had seen all kinds of storms, but she was helpless against Gong Yiling's advances and let herself fall for him.
Shen Yue: My A Ling is delicate, frail, and kindhearted. You can't bully him!
Wake up. Don't you realize you're playing the part of the scumbag from an old-school angst novel who favors the white lotus female supporting character?
But later, she discovered another side to this man. He was a sweet-looking schemer, too!?
Gong Yiling: You probably won't believe me, but I'm a villain. In her eyes, though, I'm a perfectly normal person.
She's someone I can use, a silly, sweet little princess. As long as I act pitiful, she'll let go of her suspicions, comfort me, and dote on me.
It doesn't matter who falls first, because we love each other.
But later, I realized she never seemed to care about me at all. Her so-called tenderness was nothing but a woman's fleeting affection. Once she lost interest, I meant nothing to her.
It doesn't matter.
Even if she abandons me, hurts me, and betrays me time and again, as long as I keep her locked by my side, she'll never leave me for the rest of her life.
But then she died, right before my eyes. She snatched the sword from my hands and cut her slender throat.
She planned everything so carefully that she didn't even leave me a body.
She was the butterfly with long wings that I could never catch, not even until death.
***Important! Important! Important! Read this before you start, everyone!***
The story begins with a purely matriarchal setting. Later, men can also enter the civil service, though it's very difficult. (This is discussed in my next novel, Black-Hearted Lotus.) This is not a typical matriarchal novel, so if you only like stories with a strictly matriarchal society, please be careful not to pick the wrong book. This is not a patriarchal society, not a patriarchal society, not a patriarchal society.
This is not a strong female lead novel, not a female-centric power fantasy, and not a feel-good power fantasy. It's an angst-filled, bittersweet story, and the heroine gradually grows stronger. The matriarchal society is just the backdrop, which makes it easier for me to put men in a lower position in the story. But the heroine is an ordinary girl from another world. She doesn't have amazing skills or a strong mentality, and I really like her.
The male lead intends to use the heroine at first. Later, she fakes her death and he has to go through hell to win her back.
Women can get pregnant. That's how their bodies work in this setting. There's no law saying women can't get pregnant in a matriarchal society =-=.
The heroine's faked suicide in the blurb happens relatively late in the story, and the male lead's pursuit isn't quite what most readers imagine. Before she fakes her death, the heroine isn't the only one suffering. The male lead has it worse, and the ending is happy.
The male lead is sweet on the outside but dark within, with the logic of a madman.
Please discuss civilly and don't attack anyone personally!
Don't imagine extra plot from the blurb (highlighted), spread rumors or false warnings, or insult the novel.
The heroine does not suffer more than the male lead. Feel free to count the suffering chapter by chapter, but don't make baseless accusations. Also, every painful moment serves the plot. Who suffers is determined by the story, not by their identity.
Theme: Strive for freedom.
Responding to comments about Nv Zunwen also running a crematorium 1. I don't think that female heroes cannot have children. I read many female characters in Jinjiang and this setting exists. 2. There is no more abuse of women than abuse of men, at least I don't think so. Because I set the crematorium to be a woman-centered one because I didn't want to see the previous article of "Wife-Chasing Crematorium" only abusing women or abusing women a lot. I didn't say anything in the comment area that I abused women a lot, so I don't want to do it myself, thank you. 3. I don't think you love women much if you rely on your own imagination to attack female characters. The heroine set in this article is only for plot service. I didn't even classify it as a heroine, just because I'm afraid that readers who like heroines won't be able to accept this setting. I have tried my best to take care of your mood, why do you still ignore my explanation and make dull comments? Who can I show to you? 4. None of the first 270 comments on the clip said anything bad about the heroine. Since one comment about the heroine's crematorium was published, someone else posted the same comment immediately after. I hope you can think about it before posting a comment and not be led by comments. 5. I'm very sorry for disturbing the reading mood of ordinary readers. This book is my first full-length novel. I didn't grasp many of the rhythms well, so it was very difficult to finish it. It took me half a year to write it all because of my love for the story. I was really sad because a setting rejected my character's personality, so I felt like I was crazy when I kept replying, but it seemed like I had really broken my defense.
Zhuoyu is like an old mother who is worried about her sister's life-long events. Xiao Gu can't be Xiaolu's child, right? He was born early eh⊙ω⊙ Alas, Xiaolu and Lu Qingge were going to be happily together soon, why can't they shout a few more times, it's really just a little bit closer╯△╰
In fact, why not ask Wuyou what he meant? As an emperor and a daughter, she doesn't even have the right to know. What would she think if she grew up and knew that her father's death was related to her aunt, her trusted prime minister, her fiancé's mother, and her sweetheart? Can she really accept that they killed her father for her own good? Moreover, Axue died in the end bearing the blame of disaster and betrayal of Ayue, which is a little sad (ToT)
The sword in this article made me realize regret, pity, miss, alas, just a little bit, everyone can be well, instead of dead, injured, hated and hated. Thinking of the previous article, Ashue's parents still feel a little regretful.
When I was reading the article, I was thinking whether without Du Ruo and Jiang Xu, Zhong Zhaolan and Luo Chuan would be together happily, traveling around the world as a pair of wild mandarin ducks. But as Zhong Zhaolan and Luo Chuan, they are destined to not be able to live a life like wandering clouds and wild cranes. Without him, The two of them will not have the next person to cause trouble, and the method may be even more vicious, so this article written by Zhong Zhaolan may be the best ending. At least many years later, Zhong Zhaolan and Luo Chuan will never be separated, and no one will ever disturb them (^ω^)
I understand, Gu Xiting is cruel when he follows his mother T? T
Hahahahahaha, it's a little different from what I thought before, she's an empress!!! What kind of love, love, love do you want?!
I sighed after reading it, it was so well written.
It's a very interesting article, but some of the chapters in the middle are so cruel that they made me cry to death.
It's really a pity that they were so in love, but they still lacked trust and communication. A very important reason is that Zhong Zhaolan never confessed his situation, but it's still a pity. They didn't have to miss so many years, and they wouldn't have experienced the pain. Finally being able to die in the same hole is a half-life dream for them. If there is an afterlife, communicate well! (PS: I didn't expect that Du Ruo turned out to be a werewolf. I didn't pay much attention to him before. I didn't expect that Zhong Zhaolan was such a free and easy person when he was young. He dared to love and hate, pursued spiritual freedom, and was shy in front of the people he liked. After all, it was the palace that trapped her. In addition, Luochuan was really wild ('o')o)
