Qianye always thought he was a big rose, so he gave himself a rose's name.
Qianye had counted them: he had well over a thousand "petals"!
And he was exactly like the roses in the encyclopedia he'd picked up: green and round.
It was just that his fallen "petals" were more tender and crisp, tastier, and bigger.
Well... maybe it was because he was a crossbred rose!
Otherwise, why would he keep growing one baby after another, each one completely different from him?
One day, Qianye found a book he hadn't read before. It was full of all kinds of adorable, fluffy animals. They could run and make sounds, and snuggle up to their owners with a soft little whine.
Qianye: "Ohhh!!"
Qianye fell in love with the fluffy little animals. So he pulled his roots out of the ground, grew a pair of little arms, and turned into a human.
With a huge backpack he'd made himself and his babies in tow, Qianye set off across the wasteland to find fluffy animals.
However, this was a world polluted by dark elements. Most plants had gone extinct, and the animals had evolved into much more ferocious creatures. The world was incredibly dangerous.
