The Daily Life of Being Forced to Play a Vase in an Escape Game

After Pei Lin died, he was transported into an escape game and became one of the players who had to clear it. The original character was his complete opposite: delicate, frail, and timid. All he had to do each day was shed a few pitiful tears, and the players' protective instincts would go through the roof. In short, he was a peerlessly beautiful vase with nothing going for him but his looks. Faced with the System's warning that breaking character would mean death, Pei Lin had no choice but to lower himself and play along. From then on, whenever his teammates charged ahead, he cheered them on. When they fought over monsters, he politely stepped aside. When they turned on each other over dungeon rewards, he sobbed from the sidelines, crying, "Stop! Please, don't fight anymore!" Until one day, the final boss went berserk and was about to slaughter everyone. The only player nearby still able to move was Pei Lin. With a helpless look on his world-weary face, he stabbed the boss to death in one strike and even tore apart its lair for good measure. Just as he congratulated himself on not being seen, Teammate A, who had been unconscious from his injuries, woke up. Seeing the System's red OOC warning appear, Pei Lin promptly squeezed out two tears. "I was so scared all alone just now. I was afraid I'd never see you again." "..." Qi Fengmian glanced at the boss's blood-soaked chest, then pressed a hand to his own chest, which Pei Lin had pierced just minutes earlier. Smiling tenderly, he asked, "Do you think I'm blind?" · Every player of Dawn knows that clearing the game lets them return to the real world. But only Qi Fengmian knows that the game's true final reward is becoming a grotesque evil spirit within the game. Trapped in an endless cycle, he was killed again and again by players brimming with hostility. At last, he had waited long enough for his own dawn to arrive. Theme: Never give up hope.
