Longing I Can’t Understand

The day Wen Zhize got dumped, he told Lin Moshu, "Now it's settled. With me, you're in a relationship where you don't have to say a single word."

So on the first day they reunited, the two of them stayed silent.

On the second day, neither of them said a word.

On the third day, Lin Moshu chattered away with everyone else but Wen Zhize. She said good night to everyone except him.

On the nth day, Wen Zhize came to find her with an umbrella in the pouring rain. "I can't make sense of it."

He stood at the foot of the steps, looking up at her, his eyes clouded with an indescribable gloom. "Do you not even want to say good night to me?"

[Reading note:

This story often uses flashbacks in its narration. (Flashbacks are out to get me, so I'll get them first :P)]
