Synopsis
Shen Linzhou woke up one day to discover that he had transmigrated into a book: the "sweet romance" novel he'd finished reading right before going to sleep, and that had nearly made him angry enough to faint.
He'd become the vicious male supporting character who fell in love at first sight with the male lead, pursued him relentlessly, and stopped at nothing to get him.
Oh, and he had a pretty impressive title, too: the male lead's little aunt-in-law.
Taking advantage of his villainous husband, Li Jiuyou, being blind and frail, he fed him sleeping pills every day, occasionally slipped him poison, and cheated on him. The rest of the time, he worked with the male lead behind the scenes to take Li Jiuyou's company. Everyone knew the original character had married Li Jiuyou to bring him good luck, and that Li Jiuyou didn't have long to live. The male lead would inherit everything eventually.
Who could have guessed that Li Jiuyou, unable to bear the humiliation, would struggle back to consciousness, set the villa on fire, and die with the original character?
With no obstacles between the male lead and his love interest, the male lead inherited Li Jiuyou's company and wealth. A perfect happy ending.
While reading the book, Shen Linzhou had thought that if he ever got the chance, he'd protect poor Li Jiuyou.
Who knew he would actually transmigrate into the book? The plot had already reached the day after he married Li Jiuyou, and he'd already given him sleeping pills.
Li Jiuyou still hadn't woken up.
He was doomed.
To help Li Jiuyou escape the plot, Shen Linzhou worked diligently every day, caring for him and tending to his every need. He warmed the bed for him when it was cold, stayed with him when he was afraid of the dark, and did everything for him short of giving up his own life.
*
Li Jiuyou knew his husband loved his good-for-nothing nephew. He'd even threatened to take his own life to make Li Jiuyou break off the engagement. So what was this soft, cuddly man asking to be held doing now?
Taking advantage of Li Jiuyou's blindness, Shen Linzhou never bothered to hide when he bathed or changed clothes. He even slept beside him stark naked.
Then one day, Li Jiuyou, who was supposed to be blind, pulled Shen Linzhou close and fastened the buttons that exposed his collarbones.
Shen Linzhou came to a conclusion: So the big shot isn't blind. He's the one who's blind to what's going on!
Much later, Shen Linzhou touched his rounded belly with a grave expression. It wasn't that the big shot was blind, or that he couldn't perform. Shen Linzhou was the one who was blind, and he was the one who couldn't perform.
Upcoming Story 1: How Is My Sickly Husband Still Not Dead?!
Lu Congzhou transmigrated into the sacrificial-marriage husband in a novel. His family's business was on the verge of bankruptcy, and his vile father married him off to the story's villain to secure fifty million in working capital.
The villain was not only dying, but also moody, sinister, and cruel. He was known in their circle as the "Tyrant."
That wasn't all. Lu Congzhou existed to serve as a foil for the protagonist's love interest. He was an untalented, universally hated, bottom-of-the-barrel entertainer who shamelessly piggybacked on the male lead's popularity.
The protagonist's love interest, on the other hand, was everyone's beloved. Cute and charming, he became a top-tier star as soon as he debuted, and was also the male lead's unrequited love, openly and secretly pursued.
Lu Congzhou repeatedly tried to trip up the protagonist's love interest, only to be humiliated in return and suffer plenty of hardship. Later, after the male lead died, he lost the only leverage that made people wary of him. He was framed, disfigured, and forced out of the entertainment industry, disappearing from the story altogether.
Lu Congzhou understood. He was struggling in a bottomless mire, and the only thing he could cling to was Huo Beichuan, his lifeline.
The first step to saving himself: keep Huo Beichuan alive.
Under flower-laden branches, Lu Congzhou saw Huo Beichuan for the first time. He reclined in a swaying lounge chair, turning a piece of jade green all the way through in his hand. Though it was July, a light blanket covered his legs. From a distance, his cool, handsome, frail appearance made Lu Congzhou's breath catch.
Damn, he wasn't actually that unwilling. If he'd known he was marrying a beauty, no, a sick man, he wouldn't have minded so much.
*
At first, Huo Beichuan hadn't wanted to marry the husband his grandfather had forced on him. He had only three months to live and didn't want to hold someone else back. But later, that man clumsily cooked medicinal meals for him, secretly warmed his bed, went to great lengths to treat his illness, and innocently cuddled and kissed him. Suddenly, Huo Beichuan wanted to live a little longer, and then longer still. His darling was sweet, obedient, and naive. What would he do without Huo Beichuan to protect him?
Bonus Scene
Lu Congzhou stared at the freshly printed pregnancy test report, lost in thought. He poked Huo Beichuan in the waist and asked blankly, "Weren't you supposed to be impotent?"
Huo Beichuan: "Darling, I'm in poor health, not impotent. You were the one who fed me tiger penis and deer antler wine, and goji berry lamb soup. You got pregnant, that's all. Anyone can give birth."
"R-Really?"
Lu Congzhou felt that something was off, but couldn't put his finger on it. So Huo Beichuan stayed with him for one year, two years, and then countless more before he finally realized: wasn't he supposed to be dying soon, so Lu Congzhou could inherit his hundred-billion fortune? How had Huo Beichuan ended up healthier than him?
Upcoming Story 2: My Husband, Who Abandoned Me and Our Child, Isn't Human!
A stormy night.
Qi Jingnian's ex-husband, who had divorced him three years ago and abandoned him and their child, had returned.
He was still wearing the suit he'd had on the day he left, its dark red patterns clearly visible. In his hand was a huge black umbrella, covering half of his impossibly handsome face.
His blood-red eyes lifted slightly, and his thin lips parted. "Long time no see. I'm back."
After a long moment of staring at each other, Qi Jingnian was the first to look away. He bent down, scooped up their meowing, well-behaved child, and slammed the door shut.
A while later, Qi Jingnian leaned his back against the door, clicked his tongue, and opened it again with a scowl.
He hid the redness in his lowered eyes, forced a smile, and said, "Long time no see. Come in."
Qi Jingnian realized that ever since Pei Yuchi returned, everything at home had started to go wrong.
Mysterious fog appeared out of nowhere. A red moon occasionally hung over the villa. A city appeared and disappeared without warning. Horrible screams sometimes seeped out of the garden. Blurry figures showed up in the bedroom mirror. A vivid blood-red mark appeared on his wrist, and a black vortex seemed to flicker behind Pei Yuchi.
Oh, right. He'd almost forgotten that his cat-child had started talking, too.
Yeah... it seemed like his ex-husband wasn't human!
*
Everyone in Lincheng knew that Qi Jingnian was crazy. In just three years, he had replaced Pei Yuchi's business empire, which Pei had spent seven years building. Rumor had it Qi Jingnian was moody and ruthless, with a terrifying face that could stop a child from crying in the middle of the night. Anyone who approached him with ulterior motives met a bad end.
Then one day, people noticed that the big shot had started making a show of carrying his cat-child into every major banquet hall. Whenever he went out, he held a black umbrella and smiled with a seductive curl of his lips. His eyes, capable of killing a man, were filled with tenderness and love.
Oh, okay. The big shot had gotten even crazier.
Bonus Scene
On the two-meter-wide bed, Qi Jingnian looped a red string around Pei Yuchi's pinky, lifted his chin, and asked, "What are you?"
Pei Yuchi gently grasped Qi Jingnian's wrist, kissing away the beads of blood one by one. His scarlet lips moved as he said, "Darling, I'm not a thing. I'm your husband!"
I crossed a thousand mountains and rivers just to return to your side. How could I bear to let go of your fingertips again?
Obsessive, troubled, and unhinged love interest # Devoted, powerful, gentle pursuer
Theme: Live positively, and never give up hope
Haha kindergarten? Reminds me of when my son was in kindergarten
Baby, going to school is really not as scary as having my parents angry, so my parents can't beat me, or mix it up.
