After Turning In the Candy-Making System, I Became a Part-Time Granny Meng

Tang Funing opened a little bookstore, but her good fortune didn't last long. She discovered that strange things happened in the shop every night at midnight, and all kinds of "people" would appear.

A pretty young woman, crying so hard her face was streaked with tears, said her name was Lin Daiyu and poured out her sorrows.

A man with an air of righteousness and a sorrowful face said his name was Qu Yuan and cursed the treacherous flatterers.

A dashing man with a feather fan and silk headdress said his name was Zhuge Liang and berated the inept young emperor Liu Shan.

Their tears were about to flood the little bookstore. Tang Funing had no choice: life was bitter enough, so she'd add a little sugar.

Fortunately, Tang Funing could make sugar fast enough to stem everyone's tears.

As an upstanding young person, Tang Funing immediately turned over her unique sugar-making System.

Meanwhile, the ghosts on the Naihe Bridge in the underworld were wailing nonstop.

Good grief, the Mengpo Soup tastes awful. It's bitter enough to kill a ghost!

I want to be reborn, but I really don't want to drink Mengpo Soup. Someone up there, please save me!

The Great Emperor of Dongyue saw this and said, "It's time we improved our Mengpo Soup. I hear there's a sugar-making expert in the mortal world?"

Tang Funing joined the underworld's civil service and became the new Meng Po.

From then on, Mengpo Soup became a favorite with the public, and Tang Funing became the sweetest civil servant in the eyes of the ghosts.

One day, Tang Funing set up a stall beside the Naihe Bridge. Besides Mengpo Soup, she had lotus seed sweet soup, ginger milk curd, double-skin milk pudding, sago dessert, black glutinous rice, and more...

The Great Emperor of Dongyue passed by. "I want the sweetest thing."

Tang Funing packed up two glutinous rice balls and was about to hand them to him.

The Great Emperor of Dongyue said, "These aren't the sweetest thing."

Tang Funing asked, "What do you think is the sweetest?"

The Great Emperor of Dongyue said, "My divine sense tells me the sweetest thing is... you."
