Night Rain in Lin'an

Blurb:

Ye Qingge was exceptionally clever from a young age, the apple of the eye of the prominent Ye family of Jiangnan. She excelled at music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, and was also known as the most beautiful woman in the Central Plains.

She thought she would grow old with her childhood sweetheart and spend her life by his side, but he fell in love with someone else.

Later, she took the name of Lou Yexue, the courtesan of a famous pleasure house, and traveled to Lin'an. By chance, she saved the legendary Young Master Xie Wangyuan of Xinling. The two danced together on the river, their beauty unmatched.

Later still, she was forced to return home for a martial arts tournament to find a husband. He fought his way through every round and won her hand in marriage, never realizing that she was the same Lou Yexue from Lin'an.

After their wedding, they spent their days together and fell for each other. But war broke out again. In a world thrown into chaos, everyone was adrift like duckweed. They were separated, missed each other, and found themselves on opposing sides, entangled in love and hate...

Years later, when he looked back, all he remembered was that fleeting glimpse of her in Lin'an. He had said to her:

"I'll never forget that you saved my life."

A lifetime of peace, scattered like smoke and gone. Twelve years of life, all reduced to dust.

Different paths, same destination.
