The most terrifying monster of them all had been called Ying Zhou when he was alive. It evolved from a low-level menace into a great demon king capable of destroying the world. Bloodthirsty, cold, violent, and insane, it had no goodwill toward humans and no attachment to life. The only end that could bring it peace was the destruction and death of the entire world. In the century-long standoff against the monster, humanity was utterly defeated. Fortunately, after the world was destroyed, it started over. Those who were reborn discovered that time had returned to the year before the paranormal resurgence. Ying Zhou was still a helpless little thing with no one to rely on, unloved by his father and mother. He was still alive and hadn’t yet become that terrifying, icy paranormal creature.
