Uneven

Cheng An was the only son of the wealthiest man in Jiangnan. He grew up pampered, wanting for nothing.

He loved lanterns and flowers, birds and fish; he enjoyed fine homes and beautiful maids, splendid clothes and fine wine... He had every treasure and every luxury imaginable.

Then disaster struck his family when he was fifteen. Their wealth vanished, and so did all their friends and relatives...

After walking for three months, he headed north to the capital with the one personal servant he had left.

He traveled through wind and rain, bound for the Loyal and Righteous Marquis's household, a distinguished family that his late mother had once been close to...

The Loyal and Righteous Marquis had a brilliant young son named Shen Yu.

Cheng An had disliked him since childhood, and was a little afraid of him, too. Later, he chose to keep his distance. He never imagined that on a rainy night, Shen Yu would bring men to raid his home...

P.S.:

1: I don't plan to make this very long. It should wrap up at around 100,000 words.

2: It's very melodramatic, a reborn revenge story. Neither the top nor the bottom is perfect.

3: The outline is in my head. I hope I can remember it.

4: Cheng An is the bottom, and Shen Yu is the top.

5: The blurb was inspired by Zhang Dai's Epitaph for Myself.
