Bai Lin stood at the edge of a cliff in a blue Taoist robe, gazing down the mountain. His bearing was cool and ethereal, and his eyes looked utterly hopeless.
Transmigrating into a book was bad enough, but he had landed in a melodramatic body-double romance with a dash of the supernatural. The main characters handled the melodrama, while Bai Lin handled the paranormal stuff :)
As the hired exorcist and body-double lover whom the domineering CEO hero had ruthlessly claimed, Bai Lin didn't even survive an hour after his appearance. An evil ghost tore him to pieces.
Now, with five hours left before he was torn apart, Bai Lin was utterly despondent. Holding his growling stomach, he looked toward the pig farm below.
-
Meanwhile, a little pink pig struggled out of a stuffy, stinking pile of piglets and looked around in confusion, lifting its hoof. Where was its luxurious eight-hundred-meter-long bed?
-
Bai Lin searched himself from head to toe. His pockets were emptier than his stomach. He turned around dejectedly and unexpectedly ran into a runaway sweetheart of a piglet, his little buddy (strike that).
Human and pig gazed deeply into each other's eyes (not really).
Bai Lin's eyes slowly widened. Holy crap, a golden pig!
The pig slowly narrowed its eyes. Damn it, what's with that look?
1.
Bai Lin never expected that one day he'd become a professional charlatan, with a pig for a partner, and that their way of working together would be so bizarre...
Other exorcists wield peachwood swords to drive out ghosts. He scoops up the golden pig and takes a big sniff.

The golden pig is adorable and pink, and its whole body shines with golden light that makes it a perfect weapon against ghosts. But that doesn't change the fact that it's terrified of ghosts and incredibly fussy and difficult to deal with.
So Bai Lin cheerfully began compiling 108 Ways to Cook a Little Piglet.
Unfortunately, before he could finish, he unexpectedly discovered the golden pig's true identity: the white moonlight the domineering CEO hero had always yearned for.
The book's white moonlight was noble, cool, and elegant, a flower blooming on a lofty mountaintop.
Bai Lin glanced at the golden pig, who had just finished eating and was carefully wiping its mouth with a little handkerchief... Maybe, possibly, it was a tiny bit elegant...?
3.
No one knew that the domineering CEO of this angsty romance cherished a white moonlight he'd admired for years. During his darkest, most miserable youth, that cool, gentle person had been the only one to show him kindness.
But the moon was always the moon, hanging high in the sky, impossible to reach. The CEO could only hide his desires and watch from afar.
Until one day, he saw with his own eyes the white moonlight in his heart cornering a young man against a wall, eyes filled with desire held back to the breaking point, then lowering his head and kissing him without a word.
At that moment, the CEO seemed to hear his heart shatter.
In reality, Wen Jinhe had returned to his own body and cornered Bai Lin against the wall, while a 3D replay of the fanged ghost mask he'd just seen was still playing in his mind. His eyes red, he demanded, "You left me there just now? You really left me there all alone?"
"It's not like..." Bai Lin said, feeling a little guilty. He was just about to make an excuse when everything suddenly went dark, followed by a sharp pain in his earlobe.
Wen Jinhe knew Bai Lin's ears were extremely sensitive. In a fit of anger, he opened his mouth and bit down.
Bai Lin hurriedly covered his ear. Wait, if a pig bites you, do you need a rabies shot?!
Reading guide:
1. They dote on each other. Click to watch two idiots fall in love like grade-schoolers (seriously).
2. The love interest is not a pig who turned into a spirit (key point). The golden light around him is the radiance of merit (a dazzling little pig).
3. Set in a fictional world. The author has final say on all worldbuilding (stern expression).
