On How to Torment the Senior Brother

Wen Yao transmigrated into a book. She became a supporting female character who worked hard at cultivation but still couldn't measure up to the heroine. Her senior martial brother, Xie Daoyun, was the sole heir to the talisman master's legacy, as well as the most popular male supporting character in the novel, and the one readers most regretted seeing lose. He was considerate and compassionate toward all living beings. He would even show kindness to a lame old man he met on the road. In Wen Yao's eyes, he was a saint reincarnated, a bodhisattva made flesh. But she had a secret: not only had she transmigrated into a book, she'd also been bound to a System called the Senior Martial Brother Victims' Alliance. While other transmigrators were trying every which way to fall in love, she and the System were racking their brains to torment her saintly senior martial brother. Sometimes it was as small as waking him up. Other times, she shifted the blame onto him, framed him, or drove away his romantic prospects. Her conscience really did hurt. One day, she couldn't hold it in any longer. She was going to come clean! "I'm sorry, Senior Brother. I need to confess. I did all those things on purpose..." But he reached out and gently brushed the corner of her eye, his gaze compassionate. "Junior Sister, you're the only person in this world who's truly helped me make my heart's desires come true." Wen Yao: ...Huh? Only later did Wen Yao understand why the System was called the Senior Martial Brother Victims' Alliance. * The Supreme One says: "Misfortune and fortune do not come through any gate; people summon them upon themselves. Good and evil bring their own rewards, following one like a shadow. Thus Heaven and Earth have gods who record transgressions, and they reduce a person's allotted years according to the severity of their offenses." But there are no gods who record transgressions in this world. To save the people, he had to come in person. The people of this world were foolish and vile, and obstacles were inevitable. Fortunately, he still had his junior sister to help him. Bonus scene: The little mongrel followed him to the kitchen doorway, its watery eyes reflecting everything inside. Bright red blood ran down from a pale wrist. The vivid red disappeared in an instant when it mixed with the brown medicinal liquid, leaving behind only an indescribably sweet fragrance. He turned to look at the little mongrel and gently placed his index finger against his lips, signaling it to be quiet. "You little beast, don't make a sound." Reader's guide: Senior Martial Brother really is not a good person (pay attention to this). Blurb screenshotted on 2021.12.20 Theme: Even a firefly can shine with dazzling light
