Please Don't Confess to Me!

Xu Yan was rebellious as a teenager and unlucky in love as an adult. In middle age, he finally came to his senses, only to be reborn just as his career was taking off. Back in his youth, Xu Yan has only one thought: study hard and keep improving.

Xu Yan: I have to focus on studying and building my career, but when it comes to love, don't even think about it!

So the first time someone confesses to him...

Xu Yan: "You're probably mistaking the closeness between friends for something else."

Later, someone takes a knife for him and bleeds, yet still insists: "Xu Yan, you know I like you. It's not some illusion or misunderstanding."

Xu Yan has already prepared his response: "Let's focus on studying for now. We can talk about the rest later."

Later still, they both go to university. The other man's throat bobs. "I like you, Xu Yan. Every day and night at university, I've only come to like you more."

Xu Yan grits his teeth and snaps, "Hold those tears back!"

Xu Yan thought he had avoided every possibility of romance developing, but never expected his very first choice to land him right in a minefield.

Premise: Focus on studying and the college entrance exams.
