[Sweethearts, please add this to your favorites! Much appreciated!]
I wasn't satisfied with the opening in the previous version of the blurb, so I've rewritten it. Current progress: the opening is done.
Blurb:
One bowl from the start, and a child falls from the sky.
Lin Zhaoyue transmigrates and inherits the following assets: a broken bowl, a barren mountain, and a Cihang Immortal Manor with a front door that's practically falling off its hinges.
Plus a System with an absurdly long name: [Supreme Child-Rearing System of the Myriad Worlds].
System: [Host, please raise the little ones as soon as possible. Complete the beginner's task to claim your reward!]
Lin Zhaoyue: I've never even held a man's hand. Are you sure I can raise a child properly?!
Before she can even process this, the System helpfully offers a beginner's ability:
[Broken Bowl Gathers Treasure]: Hold the broken bowl while squatting by the roadside, and passersby will give you money.
Lin Zhaoyue: ??? Which System gives its Host a golden finger that involves begging for alms?!
Things get even worse when she finds a feral little one in a ravine, nearly starved to death and as thin as a bean sprout.
She opens the panel and sees:
[Potential: Mixed Spiritual Roots (a good-for-nothing among good-for-nothings)]
[Intelligence: Not fully developed]
[Talent: Eating grass]
Lin Zhaoyue: This one can become a supreme ruler of the Myriad Worlds, too?
System: [There are no useless little ones, only useless Hosts!]
Gritting her teeth, Lin Zhaoyue accepts her fate.
Raising one little one is work, and raising a hundred is work, so she decides to do it wholesale!
And so Cihang Immortal Manor begins an enthusiastic recruitment drive.
Other people choose disciples by their spiritual roots, aptitude, and family background.
Lin Zhaoyue has only one standard: they have to have had a rough life.
An orphan abandoned by their family, cursed to bring misfortune? Accepted!
A good-for-nothing disciple kicked out by their sect? Accepted!
A little beggar who fainted at the mountain gate? Accepted, accepted, accepted!
Even the sickly young master from a rival sect, treated as a disposable pawn, is brought home by her.
Everyone in the cultivation world laughs at the sect leader of Cihang Immortal Manor: she's a professional trash-picker.
Until one day, her enemies join forces to attack Cihang Immortal Manor, vowing to raze the rundown mountain.
Lin Zhaoyue lounges in her rocking chair without even opening her eyes.
Behind her, a hundred little ones charge out.
The first splits a formation of a thousand with one sword strike.
The tenth tramples an enemy elder underfoot and makes him call him Grandpa.
By the time the fiftieth appears, the opposition is already sobbing.
The enemies cry and complain:
"We weren't defeated by her. We were beaten by the whole pack of little brats she raised!"
Some curious onlookers look up the geniuses' backgrounds, and the more they read, the more shocked they become:
The Demon Venerable who commands the Demon Realm was picked up by her from a mass grave.
The foremost swordsman who swept across the Immortal Realm was dug out of the snow by her.
Even the one who now rules at the summit of the Six Realms spent decades eating steamed buns on her rundown mountain, and once begged by the roadside with her, holding a broken bowl.
